The series follows the events of the Tomb Raider trilogy, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider, as Lara Croft abandons her friends to embark on increasingly dangerous adventures on her own. However, she must return home when a valuable and powerful Chinese artifact is stolen from the Croft estate by a thief with a strange personal connection. Her daring pursuit will take her across the world and into forgotten tombs, where she will have to confront herself and decide what kind of hero she wants to be.
