Newcastle United have just made a decisive move in the deal to recruit striker Benjamin Sesko when sending RB Leipzig an offer worth 80 million euros - equivalent to the contract termination clause.

This move shows the great determination of the St. James' Park team in their efforts to strengthen their attack for the 2025/26 season, replacing Alexander Isak who is likely to go to Liverpool.

Previously, MU was said to be very close to reaching a personal agreement with Sesko.

However, the "Red Devils" have not been able to finalize a price with Leipzig - something Newcastle is ready to do immediately.

In particular, the Magpies' right to participate in the Champions League next season is also an important factor in helping them attract the Slovenian striker.

Sesko is considered one of the most promising young strikers in European football.

The 22-year-old player has just had an explosive season in the Bundesliga and quickly caught the attention of a series of big names such as MU, Arsenal, Chelsea and Saudi Arabian football.

Arsenal and Chelsea have both changed their plans and have their own "number 9" so they are no longer pursuing Sesko.

Sesko's priority is to play regularly and have a chance in European cups, something Newcastle can currently provide better than United.

If they don't speed up by spending more, the Old Trafford team will likely lose their top target in the summer transfer window of 2025.
