Dong Mai Industrial Park, Dong Mai Ward - started construction on January 18, 2025. Currently, the investor, Tan Dai Duong International Import Export Joint Stock Company, is speeding up the progress of completing the infrastructure. The project has an area of 16 hectares, an operating period of 50 years, with a total investment of nearly 300 billion VND.
Thanks to its advantage of being located at the gateway directly connected to the Ha Long - Hai Phong highway and near large industrial parks such as Bac Tien Phong, Song Khoai, Dong Mai Industrial Park has favorable conditions to form a linked production chain and take advantage of the existing infrastructure of the area. Therefore, this industrial park is oriented to attract industries such as food processing, footwear manufacturing, wood processing, industrial gas production, pharmaceuticals, metal processing, contributing to the development of a concentrated and modern production model. At the same time, this is also the location to relocate small-scale industrial establishments that cause pollution or are not suitable for urban planning, contributing to the construction of a concentrated and sustainable production environment. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Chung, chief supervisor of the Dong Mai Industrial Park Project, said: Currently, the infrastructure of the industrial park has been completed about 50% of the volume and is expected to start attracting secondary businesses in the fourth quarter of this year.
At the Yen Than Industrial Park project, Yen Than commune, which started construction on June 8, 2025, the construction unit is focusing on leveling the ground and investing in infrastructure at the same time. With an area of nearly 48 hectares and a total investment of more than 600 billion VND, this is a key industrial park, opening up industrial development space for the eastern region of Quang Ninh province.
Yen Than Industrial Park is oriented to attract agricultural and forestry processing, logistics and supporting industries. The project not only takes advantage of large land funds and abundant forest resources, but also creates regional links with important trade routes such as National Highway 4B, National Highway 18C and international border gates such as Mong Cai and Hoanh Mo. When put into operation, Yen Than Industrial Park will be a highlight of industrial development in the Eastern region, attracting satellite enterprises, creating more jobs for local workers and promoting production support service activities. The investor commits to completing the first phase of technical infrastructure within 6 months, ready to hand over the site to secondary investors.
Along with new projects, industrial parks that have been put into operation in the province continue to be effective. A typical example is Nam Son Industrial Park in Ba Che Commune, which completed phase 1 at the end of 2017. The park has attracted 7 secondary investors, with an occupancy rate of 87%. Mr. Le Van Quang, Deputy General Director of Hoang Thai Joint Stock Company, the investor, said that phase 2 of Nam Son Industrial Park has completed investment procedures as well as site clearance, and is expected to be implemented soon with a plan to expand by 14 hectares, meeting the long-term development needs of businesses and local industrial development.
In the period of 2021-2024, the province's processing and manufacturing industry will grow by an average of over 22% per year, accounting for more than 12% of GRDP. In that general picture, industrial clusters contribute to expanding concentrated production space, creating thousands of jobs, increasing income for people, and at the same time relocating small-scale production facilities out of residential areas, reducing pollution and promoting a green, modern industrial model.
To accompany investors in industrial parks, Quang Ninh province has requested communes, wards and special zones to provide maximum support to investors in site clearance, promote administrative procedure reform, shorten licensing procedures and apply many preferential policies on land and taxes. At the same time, the province focuses on developing the logistics system, linking industrial parks with highways, seaports, airports and large industrial parks, forming a complete production and supply chain.
Environmental protection is also considered important with the requirement to build a centralized wastewater treatment system and apply environmentally friendly technology, gradually forming green, modern industrial parks in line with sustainable development orientation.
From these efforts, Quang Ninh’s industrial infrastructure is making remarkable progress. Industrial park projects not only attract more investors, create jobs for thousands of workers, but also open up a space for concentrated, professional and sustainable production.
By 2030, Quang Ninh aims to form 36 industrial clusters, aiming for 45 industrial clusters by 2050, becoming one of the leading localities in the country in developing small and medium-sized processing and manufacturing industries, associated with high-tech and environmentally friendly value chains.
