News, forecast of coffee prices tomorrow 8/6/2025
Forecast of domestic coffee prices on August 6, 2025
Domestic coffee prices are forecasted to continue to increase and remain high on August 6, 2025. Factors supporting this trend include:
Robusta and Arabica coffee prices on major exchanges have both increased sharply, creating positive momentum for domestic coffee prices.
Impressive growth in domestic coffee exports in the first seven months of the year could put pressure on domestic supply, thereby pushing prices up.
Export value increased to a record with Vietnam's coffee export turnover surpassing the 6 billion USD mark in just 7 months, showing strong demand from the international market, boosting domestic prices.
However, the increase may not be as sudden as today's trading session, but may remain stable or increase slightly, fluctuating between 99,000 - 102,000 VND/kg.
World Coffee Price Forecast August 6, 2025
Coffee prices on the world market are forecast to continue to increase in the trading session on August 6, 2025. The main factors that may influence this trend include:
Weather concerns in Brazil with lower-than-average rainfall in Brazil’s largest arabica coffee growing region of Minas Gerais continued to be a concern for output, prompting investors to buy.
The appreciation of the Brazilian currency against the USD reduces the incentive for producers to export, reducing supply in the market and supporting prices.
Arabica inventories tracked by ICE have fallen to their lowest in more than five months, suggesting supplies may be tightening.
Hedge funds have increased their net short position in robusta coffee. Any covering move could trigger a sharp rally.
Robusta coffee prices on the London floor may continue to trade around $3,400/ton, while arabica prices on the New York floor are likely to remain above 280 US cents/pound.
General future trends
Overall, the near-term trend for coffee prices is likely to remain positive. A combination of fundamental factors such as limited supplies due to weather in Brazil and low inventories, coupled with market factors such as a strong real and net short positions by hedge funds, is likely to sustain the upward momentum for both robusta and arabica.
Despite concerns about US tariffs, positive signs on trade talks and increased consumption from other markets (such as China) are likely to help balance and support coffee prices.
