After the parade, Russian President Vladimir Putin and leaders of the CIS countries laid flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier next to the Kremlin wall. In addition to Moscow, this year's parade was also held in many cities in Russia.

For security reasons, many localities in Russia did not organize the “Immortal Regiment” march. Instead, “Walls of Memory” were organized from the beginning of May in many places, for people to attach photos of relatives or veterans who participated in the war with historical stories. A series of art programs were organized to celebrate the important holiday.
