Long Coc tea hill in the early morning is like a watercolor painting, the scenery changes every minute.
Long Coc tea hills are one of the favorite destinations for photography enthusiasts. Located in Tan Son district, Phu Tho province, about 125 km from Hanoi , these "tea oases" are also known as the Ha Long Bay of the midlands.
According to many experienced tourists who have successfully hunted for early morning dew in Long Coc, the tea hills are most beautiful in late autumn and early winter. To get the most satisfactory photos, you should come on sunny days, with a temperature difference of about 10 degrees Celsius between day and night. In addition, you can go before the changing weather (monsoon) or after rainy and sunny days. The photo was taken at 6:10 am when the sun was clearly visible.

In addition to hunting for early morning mist, watching the tea hills under the dawn is also a suggestion. It is a scene that tourists describe as a "surreal moment". "While you are absorbed in watching the rays of sunlight filtering through the misty fog, covering the entire tea hills, suddenly the whole Long Coc is lit up under the dawn. The scene at that time is as beautiful as a watercolor painting", Mr. Nguyen Anh Chiem, a tourist from Hanoi, shared with VnExpress.

Long Coc tea hill is in its most beautiful season. To hunt for mist and watch the sunrise, visitors should go for two days and one night. For convenience, you should camp on the tea hill to be able to watch the Milky Way at night, and at the same time catch the sunrise from 5 to 7 am. This is also the best time to see the tea hill under the first rays of light of the new day. This photo was taken at 6:30 am.
How to get from Hanoi to Long Coc: follow Highway 32 to Thanh Son and continue towards Xuan Son National Park to Long Coc commune. For first-time visitors, when arriving at Long Coc commune, you should ask the locals for detailed directions to get to a place where you can see the entire tea hill.

Tourists should take a high-chassis vehicle when going up the tea hill. The first 200m of the road is very easy to collapse. If camping overnight, you should prepare tents, sleeping bags, flashlights, firewood, some medicine to prevent insects, headaches, diarrhea... Everyone should bring warm clothes because Long Coc is cold at night.

After cleaning up the camp to go home, everyone needs to take all the garbage to the right place. Avoid littering. A small note is that visitors must use a flashlight carefully when going near the bushes, because there are snakes there (photo).

"Regarding food, you can contact the local homestay in advance and ask them to cook and pack meals for you to bring to the campsite for dinner. The average price is about 120,000 VND per meal. In the morning, the whole group can eat instant noodles to bring along for quickness and convenience," said Anh Chiem (far left), who recently camped at Long Coc with a group of friends.
Mr. Chiem also suggested a schedule for a two-day, one-night trip: departing from Hanoi at 3 p.m., traveling by self-driving car, arriving at 6:30 p.m. The male tourist said that this was a perfect trip for him, because he was able to immerse himself in nature. He also had fun moments with friends, in the starry night sky as well as watching the beautiful sunrise.
