Photo exhibition 'Glory of 80 years of Vietnam National Assembly'

On the morning of August 7, at Nguyen Hue walking street (Saigon ward), the Organizing Committee for the celebration of major holidays in Ho Chi Minh City opened the photo exhibition "Glory of 80 years of the Vietnamese National Assembly."

The event aims to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026) and summarize the activities of the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation, 15th term, 2021-2026 term.

Reviewing the 80-year journey of formation and development of the Vietnamese National Assembly, Ms. Huynh Thi Phuc, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Ho Chi Minh City, said that the Vietnamese National Assembly has gone through a glorious journey, always accompanying the nation in every historical period.

This exhibition is a vivid picture, recreating that heroic historical journey. Each photo is a story, an important milestone, a testament to the National Assembly's tireless dedication to the benefit of the people.

The photo exhibition is not only an opportunity for us to review history, but also to honor and deeply express gratitude for the great contributions of generations of National Assembly deputies, said Ms. Huynh Thi Phuc.

The exhibition also marks the increasingly substantive and democratic performance of the National Assembly, creating important milestones in the glorious 80-year journey of the Vietnamese National Assembly.

On that journey, there were intellectual contributions and efforts from many generations of National Assembly delegates from Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong , and Ba Ria-Vung Tau.

The documents, information and images displayed at the exhibition, although perhaps incomplete, are a powerful testament to the strength of national unity and the unshakable will of the Vietnamese people under the leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh.

The exhibition takes place from August 7-17 at 3 locations. On Nguyen Hue Street and Dong Khoi Street (in front of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City), the Organizing Committee displays more than 100 documentary images with the theme "Glory of 80 years of the Vietnamese National Assembly" to summarize the glorious history of the Vietnamese National Assembly throughout its 80 years of association and companionship with the nation.

On Dong Khoi Street (in front of Chi Lang Park), the Organizing Committee displayed 50 photos with the theme "Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation - Imprints of the 2021-2026 term," introducing the achievements of the City National Assembly Delegation during the past term.

With a high sense of responsibility, the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation constantly innovates its working methods in supervising the implementation of local laws; deploying digital government and reforming administrative procedures; performing the task of meeting voters, promptly resolving people's petitions, etc., thereby contributing to the economic-cultural-social development of the country and the City.

Previously, Mr. Nguyen Van Loi, Head of the City's National Assembly Delegation, led the delegation to offer incense and flowers to President Ho Chi Minh and President Ton Duc Thang at the Ho Chi Minh Museum, Ton Duc Thang Museum, and Ho Chi Minh Monument Park./.
