General Secretary To Lam emphasized five key issues that need to be thoroughly understood for the successful election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

Speaking at the National Conference to disseminate the Politburo 's Directive on the implementation of the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term on the morning of November 15, General Secretary To Lam emphasized five key issues that need to be thoroughly understood, namely: focusing on effectively leading personnel work - the most crucial stage of the election; well organizing the consultation, selection and introduction of candidates, promoting the people's mastery throughout the election process; stepping up propaganda and mobilization work, creating an exciting and consensus atmosphere in society and raising voters' awareness and responsibility; ensuring political security, social order and safety and promptly handling election issues and enhancing the application of information technology and smooth coordination between agencies and organizations in the entire political system to successfully organize the election./.
