Comprehensive innovation of training program content must be closely linked to practice.
Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien acknowledged, commended and congratulated the outstanding achievements that teachers and students of the Academy of Finance have achieved in recent years.
The Standing Vice President of the National Assembly also welcomed and highly appreciated the Party Committee and Board of Directors of the Academy of Finance - one of the leading higher education institutions in our country, for their initiative to organize a very meaningful two-day celebration in the same solemn and humane atmosphere. Because investing in developing the education and training career and consolidating and strengthening the strength of the great national unity bloc are two spiritual pillars imbued with the cultural identity of the Vietnamese people.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly stated that the Academy of Finance has a noble mission, training high-quality human resources in finance, accounting, auditing, and economics for the country. Over the past 60 years, the school has trained about 150,000 bachelors, 10,000 masters, and 500 doctors.
From this beloved school, students after graduating have gone all over the country, working in all fields and professions, contributing their worth to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. Many have become prestigious leaders at all levels, successful businessmen, good managers, and excellent teachers.
Our country is entering an era of national development, building a prosperous, prosperous, civilized and happy country. The Politburo has issued many strategic resolutions: Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation; Resolution No. 59-NQ/TW on international integration in the new model; Resolution No. 66-NQ/TW on innovation in law-making and enforcement to meet the requirements of national development in the new era; Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW on private economic development; Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in education and training development; Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW on a number of breakthrough solutions to strengthen the protection, care and improvement of people's health.
According to the Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, the above resolutions are a breakthrough policy for the Academy of Finance to restructure its training programs and scientific research programs to meet the requirements of training high-quality human resources for the country. On the other hand, our country is deeply integrating with the world, the guiding ideology of the Politburo and General Secretary To Lam is that Vietnam will continue to deeply integrate into world politics, the global economy and human civilization.
In such a context, the Standing Vice President of the National Assembly expressed his agreement and high consensus that the core values of the Academy of Finance have been identified as “quality, prestige, efficiency, professionalism and modernity”. In the new era, to realize those core values, the Academy of Finance must think deeply, look far, do big, and be determined.
At the same time, the Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly requested the Academy of Finance to focus on 6 key tasks.
Firstly , comprehensive innovation of training program content must be closely linked to practice, solving new problems posed by practice.
Second , promote internationalization in both directions, linking international training and training international students.
Third , lead and pioneer digital transformation in training so that graduates can immediately adapt to the digital space; digital finance, accounting, and management activities.
Fourth , improve the scientific research work of the Academy; proactively and boldly provide policy advice to both the public and private sectors.
Fifth , build a network connecting entrepreneurs, businesses, managers and alumni of the Academy to survey and grasp what the human resource market needs and what practices expect in order to meet the requirements and adjust content accordingly.
Sixth , build a modern, disciplined, humane, and friendly cultural identity of the Academy of Finance so that every student of the Academy, no matter where they go or what they do, always remembers their teachers and the Academy with affection, thinks well, makes things beautiful, and contributes to raising the level of the Academy.
Besides, the Standing Vice President of the National Assembly also emphasized that great solidarity is an extremely precious tradition of our nation. Beloved Uncle Ho left behind the immortal spiritual legacy of “Solidarity, solidarity, great solidarity. Success, success, great success”, meaning that everything without solidarity will not be successful, little solidarity will bring little success, much solidarity will bring great success, loss of solidarity will mean loss of everything.
For that reason, the Vietnam Fatherland Front has chosen November 18 every year - the traditional day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front - as the National Great Unity Day. This is a meaningful festival, which has been organized for more than 20 years, receiving the consensus and support of all levels, sectors and classes of people. High-ranking leaders from the Central to local levels are assigned to attend the Festival with the People.
Based on practical requirements, the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has a policy of piloting the organization in agencies and units. Through surveys and research, it is shown that organizing the Great Unity Day in the field of education is necessary and has extremely important significance, fostering patriotism, love, care and solidarity among the team of lecturers, researchers and especially students - those who will master the destiny and future of the country.
The Standing Vice President of the National Assembly also expressed his pleasure to know that among the 25,000 students of the Academy, 1,700 are ethnic minorities. Among the staff and lecturers of the Academy, there are also many ethnic minorities, some of whom have strived to become Associate Professors and Doctors. In the past 2 years, the Academy has paid great attention to receiving more than 200 students from preparatory colleges and from ethnic minority and mountainous areas to study at the Academy, most of whom are ethnic minorities.
Thereby, the Standing Vice President of the National Assembly highly appreciated the Party Committee, the School Council, the Board of Directors and the teachers for their attention through specific actions, making important contributions to nurturing ethnic minority children. At the same time, he hoped and requested that ethnic minority students overcome all difficulties, overcome themselves, strive to study well, work well to contribute to building their homeland and country.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly said that the organization of “two in one” by a higher education institution like the Academy of Finance is very good. Because the two anniversary days take place at the same time very close to each other; supplementing and perfecting the content so that this activity complements and resonates with the strength of the Academy; meeting to express gratitude to generations of teachers who are former leaders of the Academy and former teaching staff.
That is the emotional bond that binds generations of staff and lecturers of the Academy; meeting, exchanging, and encouraging staff, lecturers, students, and trainees who are ethnic minorities, contributing to the solidarity of ethnic groups in the community of 54 ethnic groups.
Along with that, organizing cultural, artistic and sports activities contributes to cultural exchange between ethnic groups and regions, making the educational environment more vivid and deeper associated with the cultural environment. Periodically or annually connecting with alumni so that alumni remember the Academy, contributing both materially and spiritually to support the teaching and learning of the Academy.

The Academy can establish a golden book of honor following the footsteps of the Academy of Finance alumni, enriching the Academy's tradition; encouraging and motivating students to strive to study and excel, joining hands to build the Academy of Finance where intelligence is nurtured, generations are created, and our financial future is led.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly also hopes that the Academy of Finance will promote good deeds, experiences, supplement content, and perfect methods to organize the celebration of Vietnamese Teachers' Day and the Great Unity Day of the Academy better and better.
Fully and promptly implement policies and regimes for cadres, civil servants and students who are ethnic minorities.
Previously, in his speech at the ceremony, Director of the Academy of Finance, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Dao Tung said that over 63 years of establishment and development, the Academy of Finance is proud to be the cradle that has trained hundreds of thousands of financial officers, accountants, auditors, managers, scientists, and businessmen, making an important contribution to the socio-economic development of the country. Up to now, the Academy of Finance has trained more than 500 PhDs, more than 10,000 masters and more than 100,000 bachelors of economics for the country and more than 500 bachelors and masters for Laos and Cambodia - a vivid demonstration of the spirit of solidarity and friendship among the peoples in the region.
Director Nguyen Dao Tung also stated that the spirit of great solidarity at the Academy is demonstrated through many practical activities. Lecturers and staff from all over the country work together to build a high-quality educational environment, share experiences, and support each other in teaching and scientific research. Students of all ethnicities and religions study, live, and practice together, creating a colorful cultural picture but still united in common goals. The Academy also always pays attention to fully and promptly implementing policies for cadres, civil servants, and students who are ethnic minorities, demonstrating the spirit of "no one is left behind".
Entering a new stage of development, Director Nguyen Dao Tung said that the Academy of Finance has determined its motto of action: "Solidarity - Discipline - Innovation - Creativity - Development"; determined to strive to build the Academy into a research-oriented, multidisciplinary, regional-standard university, worthy of being an extension of the Ministry of Finance.
On the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers' Day and National Great Unity Day, Director Nguyen Dao Tung also respectfully thanked the leaders of the Party, State, National Assembly, Vietnam Fatherland Front, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Education and Training, Ethnic Council, Ministry of Ethnic and Religious Affairs, agencies, enterprises, localities, former teachers and alumni of the Academy over the past time for their attention, direction and support. At the same time, he expressed his deep gratitude to generations of teachers, staff and civil servants who have been and are contributing to the career of cultivating people of the Academy of Finance.
At the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien presented souvenirs to the Academy of Finance and awarded the Labor Medal to outstanding individuals with outstanding achievements of the Academy of Finance.
