Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung attended the groundbreaking ceremony of inter-level schools in Gia Lai.

On the morning of November 16, in Ia Nan commune, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Primary and Secondary Boarding School Project in 7 border communes of the province.

Attending the ceremony were Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Huynh Thuy Van; Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee Lam Hai Giang, Nguyen Huu Que, along with leaders of central ministries and branches; leaders of provincial departments and branches and a large number of officials, teachers, students and local people.

The project is implemented according to the Conclusion Notice No. 81-TB/TW dated July 18, 2025 of the Politburo and Resolution No. 298/NQ-CP dated September 26, 2025 of the Government on investment in school construction in border communes. In Gia Lai, 7 border communes including Ia Mo, Ia Púch, Ia Pnôn, Ia Nan, Ia Dom, Ia Chia, Ia O have built 7 inter-level primary and secondary boarding schools with a total investment of more than 1,516 billion VND, with a scale of 212 classrooms and about 7,420 students.

The investment in building 7 schools in Gia Lai border communes is of special importance, not only contributing to improving the quality of education and creating favorable learning conditions for children of ethnic minorities, but also a vivid manifestation of the policy of "education is the top national policy".

The spacious schools in the border areas are not only places to nurture knowledge, but also a symbol of trust, demonstrating the deep concern of the Party, State and local authorities for the future of children in the border areas. The project is designed in a modern and synchronous manner, with a learning area, a dormitory, a dining hall, a teacher's living area and a complete technical infrastructure system. When completed, the project will meet the learning and living needs of ethnic minority students, contributing to improving the people's knowledge, developing human resources and strengthening the "people's hearts" in the border areas of the Fatherland.

According to the leaders of Gia Lai province, in order for the projects to come into operation soon, Gia Lai province will focus on directing strongly, coordinating synchronously between departments, branches, localities, and construction units to ensure the progress, quality, safety, and investment efficiency of the project. Along with that, arranging teachers, managers, and students, ensuring that when the project is completed, it can be quickly put into use, meeting the set goals. In particular, it will continue to mobilize resources to complete the infrastructure system, expand quality education models, aiming at the goal of "not letting any student drop out of school due to difficult circumstances".

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung expressed his joy at the groundbreaking of 7 schools today. When completed, this will be a model, modern, friendly school - a place to nurture the dreams and aspirations of students in border areas; a vivid symbol of the policy of great national unity and the care of the Party and State for the young generation in difficult areas.

In order for the project to achieve good results, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung requested the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, the Department of Education and Training and construction units to focus resources, carry out construction on schedule, ensure quality, safety, efficiency, and avoid formality and waste. The Gia Lai Provincial Education sector needs to proactively prepare staff, teachers, facilities, management plans and curriculum so that when the school comes into operation, it will truly become a "home of knowledge - a place to nurture the future of children in the border area".
