
On November 16, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, his wife and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation departed for official visits to Kuwait and Algeria, to attend the G20 Summit and bilateral activities in South Africa, at the invitation of Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al Sabah, Prime Minister of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria Sifi Ghrieb, President of the Republic of South Africa, Chair of the G20 in 2025 Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa.
The delegation included Nguyen Van Nen, Politburo member, Standing member of the 14th Party Congress Document Subcommittee; Le Hoai Trung, Party Central Committee Secretary, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Party Central Committee members: Tran Van Son, Minister, Head of the Government Office ; Duong Thanh Binh, Head of the National Assembly's Committee for People's Aspirations and Supervision; Tran Hong Minh, Minister of Construction; Nguyen Van Hung, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Dao Ngoc Dung, Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions; Doan Hong Phong, Government Inspector General (participating in activities in Algeria and South Africa); Nguyen Van Gau, Senior Lieutenant General, Deputy Minister of National Defense. The delegation included Pham The Tung, Senior Lieutenant General, Deputy Minister of Public Security; Nguyen Duc Thang, Vietnamese Ambassador to Kuwait; Tran Quoc Khanh, Vietnamese Ambassador to Algeria; Hoang Sy Cuong, Vietnamese Ambassador to South Africa.
On the basis of the good friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Kuwait, Algeria and South Africa, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's working trip affirmed that Vietnam attaches great importance to developing relations with partners as well as with the Middle East and Africa, thereby contributing to shaping the future and a new vision for increasingly deeper and comprehensive cooperation between the two sides. Vietnam's participation in the G20 Summit opens up opportunities to enhance Vietnam's position, prestige and voice in the international arena, while also demonstrating the international community's recognition and appreciation of Vietnam's contributions to global issues.
