At Khay Phau Village, Quang Duc Commune, in a joyful and excited atmosphere, delegates and people of the residential areas of Khay Phau, Na Ly, Tinh A, Ma Thau Pho, Quang Duc Commune reviewed the glorious 95-year tradition of the Vietnam Fatherland Front .
This is an opportunity for the community to review the tradition of solidarity, look back at the results of emulation movements, the campaigns "All people unite to build a cultural life" and "Building new rural areas, advanced new rural areas".
In recent times, the movement to preserve national cultural identity and security and order has been ensured; people have united to help each other develop production and build a civilized life.
Speaking at the Great Unity Day, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Vu Hong Thanh expressed his delight at the changes and outstanding results in socio -economic development that Quang Ninh province has achieved in recent times.
In particular, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the people of Khay Phau, Na Ly, Tinh A, Ma Thau Pho villages and Quang Duc commune in economic development and preserving cultural identity.
The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly hopes that the local community will continue to promote the tradition of solidarity, actively participate in emulation movements, maintain border security and build an increasingly prosperous homeland; promote emulation movements, create momentum and trust in the entire Party and people; in the immediate future, focus on implementing the tasks set out for 2025; select one model for each locality on social dialogue and one model on community security; organize more effectively the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", promote the role of self-management of the people, join hands to protect the environment, build a "bright, green, clean, beautiful and safe" locality.
The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly hopes that the people of Quang Duc commune will continue to unite, share, and help each other build a cultural lifestyle, preserve and promote the nation's fine cultural traditions; continue to promote the tradition of mutual love and care, care for families with meritorious services, families in difficulty, and together build Quang Duc commune in particular and Quang Ninh province in general to become increasingly rich, civilized, and modern.
At the Festival, many cultural, artistic and sports activities were organized, creating an atmosphere of solidarity and cohesion between villages and people of all walks of life.
The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly and the delegation also presented gifts to Quang Duc commune, residential areas, and households in difficult circumstances. Collectives, households, and individuals with outstanding achievements in building a united, safe, and civilized community were commended and rewarded.
Quang Duc commune was established on the basis of merging Quang Thanh, Quang Thinh and Quang Duc communes of Hai Ha district.
After the merger, the total natural area of the commune is 131km2, with a population of nearly 12,000 people. In particular, the entire Bac Phong Sinh Border Gate Economic Zone with an area of over 9,300ha is located entirely within the administrative boundaries of the commune.
This economic zone is oriented to develop into a dynamic and smart international border gate economic zone, developing trade, services, tourism, logistics and supporting industries; closely linked with neighboring border gate economic zones such as Hoanh Mo - Dong Van, Mong Cai and Hai Ha seaport industrial park.
Ms. Ly Thi Hong in Khay Phau village shared: "We have high expectations for the development of the new Quang Duc commune. The expansion of administrative boundaries not only creates favorable conditions for management and operation but also opens up a large space to promote the advantages of the border area, especially the potential for economic development at the border gate. From there, Quang Duc will gradually become a new model of a dynamic, modern and unique border commune."
In the vision to 2030, Quang Duc commune identifies the border gate economy as a "key lever" to strongly shift the economic structure to industry and services. The draft Resolution of the Commune Party Congress for the term 2025-2030 has set out a clear direction to strongly develop trade, logistics services, supporting industries and production associated with import-export activities.
Accordingly, strive to increase the proportion of industry-construction and trade-services to account for more than 70% of the total value; average income per capita to reach at least 110 million VND/year; 100% of schools to meet national standards, 100% of solid waste to be treated, and forest cover to remain stable at more than 70%.
Secretary of the Quang Duc Commune Party Committee Nguyen Huu Liem said that to realize these goals, Quang Duc Commune has identified five key groups of solutions in the coming time, including: Strengthening Party building and the political system; developing border gate economy associated with growth model innovation; completing synchronous infrastructure; improving the quality of human resources and public services; ensuring national defense and security, and expanding border diplomacy.
