Linking training with practice, towards a digital university model

Comrade Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly attended and delivered a speech; also attending were representatives of leaders of a number of central and local departments, ministries, branches; leaders, former leaders, staff, lecturers and students of the Academy of Finance.

Promoting the tradition of "respecting teachers" and expressing gratitude to generations of teachers and students of the Academy of Finance, on behalf of the Party Committee and Board of Directors, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Dao Tung, Director of the Academy shared that the spirit of solidarity has become the driving force for the Academy of Finance to be more proud of being the cradle of training many financial officers , accountants, auditors, managers, scientists, and businessmen, making an important contribution to the socio-economic development of the country.

Director of the Academy Nguyen Dao Tung said that in the context of the country entering a new stage of development, deep integration, innovation and digital transformation; implementing major decisions of the Party, especially Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthrough in education and training development, the Academy of Finance continues to strive to fulfill its "mission" of providing high-quality financial-accounting training and scientific research products for society.

Currently, the Academy offers undergraduate training with 18 majors, 42 programs, including 15 international certificate-oriented programs, 3 international training joint programs; postgraduate training has 4 master's majors, 2 doctoral majors, and opens new majors in line with development trends. Many scientific research results of the Academy are highly appreciated by the National Assembly, the Government, and the Ministry of Finance, making practical contributions to the policy planning and review process.

The Academy strongly implements the project "Smart Finance Academy", building a digital library, open learning materials, financial data lab, smart classroom, towards a modern digital university model - advanced management - flexible learning.

Appreciating the initiative of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the Academy of Finance to simultaneously organize two meaningful and humane events, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien emphasized that investing in developing education and training and consolidating and strengthening the strength of the great national unity bloc are two spiritual pillars, imbued with the cultural identity of the Vietnamese people.

Expressing his agreement and high consensus with the school's core values of "Quality - prestige - efficiency - professionalism and modernity", in order to effectively implement the Party's strategic decisions in the new period, comrade Do Van Chien proposed that the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the Academy focus on six key tasks. In particular, comprehensively innovate training content and programs, link training with practice, solve new problems posed by practice; promote international training links and train international students; pioneer digital transformation in training so that graduates can immediately adapt to the digital space, financial activities, accounting, and digital management.

He noted that it is necessary to improve scientific research; proactively and boldly advise on policies in both the public and private sectors; build a network, connect entrepreneurs, businesses, and managers who are alumni of the Academy, survey and grasp the human resource market to adjust appropriate content and programs; build the cultural identity of the Academy of Finance: modern, disciplined, practical, humane, and affectionate.

Emphasizing that great solidarity is a precious tradition of our nation, he stated that the Great Solidarity Day has been organized for more than 20 years, receiving the consensus and support of all levels, sectors and classes of people. Organizing the Great Solidarity Day in the field of education is extremely important in fostering the spirit of patriotism, humanity, sharing and solidarity among those working in teaching and research, and especially students and trainees - those who will master the destiny and future of the country. Especially among the 25,000 students and trainees currently studying at the Academy, there are 1,700 students and a number of staff and lecturers who are ethnic minorities. In the past two years, the Academy has paid attention to receiving more than 200 students from preparatory schools; most of whom are ethnic minorities. Through specific actions, the Academy makes an important contribution to training and nurturing children of ethnic minorities; motivate students to study well, work well, and contribute to building their homeland and country.

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, comrade Do Van Chien congratulated and awarded the Second and Third Class Labor Medals to 11 individuals of the Academy of Finance for their outstanding contributions to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland. The Academy organized awards for officials and students who are ethnic minorities with outstanding achievements in working and studying at the Academy.
