Opening of the exhibition of large-scale propaganda paintings commemorating the 80th anniversary of the first general election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly

On the afternoon of November 14, at the National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc Monument Park, Rach Gia Ward (An Giang Province), the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the People's Committee of An Giang Province to organize the opening ceremony of the large-scale propaganda poster exhibition to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026).

Attending the opening ceremony were Deputy Director of the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Library (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) Nguyen Quoc Huy; Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of An Giang province Nguyen Van Mao; representatives of departments, branches at the provincial and local levels and neighboring provinces and cities.

Deputy Director of the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Library Nguyen Quoc Huy delivered the opening speech of the exhibition.

The exhibition, which takes place from November 14 to 29, displays 150 large-scale propaganda paintings by professional and amateur artists nationwide, selected from propaganda painting competitions to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the first general election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly , organized by the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Library.

Deputy Director of the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Library Nguyen Quoc Huy presented certificates of merit to the Department of Information, Propaganda and Cinema and individuals with achievements in exhibition coordination.

The works vividly depict the following themes: Historical traditions of the Vietnamese National Assembly; spirit of great national unity; people's mastery; outstanding achievements of the country under the leadership of the Party, State and National Assembly of Vietnam.

This is an opportunity for people and tourists inside and outside the province to enjoy and admire works of high ideological and artistic value. At the same time, it is an opportunity to promote the image of people, culture, and tourism potential of An Giang province to friends in the region and the whole country.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Deputy Director of the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Library Nguyen Quoc Huy emphasized: Through the language, images and colors of the works displayed at the exhibition, the significance of the first general election is promoted, expressing the Vietnamese people's aspiration for independence and freedom; affirming absolute faith in the Party, President Ho Chi Minh and the patriotism of our people. At the same time, honoring and expressing gratitude for the great contributions of National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels through the periods.
