Proactive businesses

AN HERBAL JSC (Hoa Xuan ward) currently produces health care products from natural herbs in markets such as Germany, Australia, the United States, France, Canada...

Ms. Tran Thi Tu Quyen, the company's founder, said that the company's products have initially received positive reviews from the international market. Foreign orders also account for 35% of total product output. In November, the company plans to sign a contract with a partner in Germany to expand its product distribution channel.

“In the past, we have received financial support from the government for packaging, labels, technical equipment, trade promotion, etc. These are quite large amounts of money for businesses. In particular, promoting trade promotion is important, a stepping stone for businesses to reach out and reach international customers. We hope to continue to receive support from the city to expand the market in China and Korea, these are potential markets for natural herbal products,” said Ms. Quyen.

Having established a certain position in the domestic market, the sesame crackers product of Ba Lieu Me (Cam Le ward) is moving towards the export market. Mr. Huynh Duc Sol, owner of Ba Lieu Me sesame crackers facility, said that the facility has achieved 4-star OCOP certification with 6 product lines. Last September, the unit participated in the business delegation of the Trade Promotion Agency ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ) to attend the 34th Autumn International Fair on Food and Beverages - WorldFood Moscow 2025 in Russia, an important annual event of the food and fast-moving consumer goods industry. There, many foreign partners were interested in exchanging and cooperating on products.

Mr. Sol believes that participating in prestigious large-scale trade promotion events abroad is a good opportunity for businesses, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, to promote their brands and products most visually to consumers. These activities help reach many potential customers, saving costs and human resources in market development. At the same time, establishments also hope to receive information from the industry and trade sector and support in participating in foreign fairs to have more opportunities to reach international buyers.

Government support

Mr. Vo Van Khanh, Chief Representative of the Vietnam E-commerce Association in the Central region, said that cross-border e-commerce is currently opening up great opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises in general and Da Nang in particular to expand the market and increase export value. With the strong growth rate of global e-commerce, along with Da Nang having many unique advantages such as developed logistics infrastructure, international seaports and airports, and typical products of the region, Da Nang enterprises have great potential if they are properly invested in branding, packaging and product stories.

However, it also poses many challenges and requires synchronous coordination between the government and businesses. If exploited well, cross-border e-commerce will become a strategic export channel, helping Da Nang businesses not only expand their markets and improve their competitiveness but also contribute to affirming the local brand on the global trade map.

Ms. Do Thi Quynh Tram, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, informed that Da Nang is proactively integrating into the international market. The city is the focal point for implementing new-generation free trade agreements (FTAs), as well as coordinating with ministries, departments and branches to propagate and provide information on integration policies and Vietnam's policies towards international markets. The city's industry and trade sector has recently organized in-depth training on integration knowledge for businesses to participate as well as develop internal capacity in export, participating in logistics chains to meet the standards of foreign markets.

The city government has also developed new policies to support, specifically the project to promote export goods until 2030, or the export brand strategy. In the coming time, the city will build a system of standards with specific projects to support businesses to cooperate and bring goods to the international market. At the same time, there will be policies to support businesses, especially policies related to exports to European markets, the United States and key Asian markets such as Korea and Japan.
