Mr. Hoang Nguyen Dinh was elected Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

At the 5th session of the 10th Ho Chi Minh City People's Council on November 14, the City People's Council elected Mr. Hoang Nguyen Dinh, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Deputy Head of the City Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

With 149/161 votes (92.55%), Mr. Hoang Nguyen Dinh became one of three additional Vice Chairmen of the City People's Committee elected in this session. His election took place in the context that the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee is continuing to improve its apparatus to meet the requirements of management and development in the new period.

The new Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, Hoang Nguyen Dinh, was born in 1980, from Hue City. He has a bachelor's degree in law, a master's degree in road and bridge construction, and a senior degree in political theory. He has held many important leadership positions in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province (old). In the field of transportation, he was the Director of the Provincial Transport Project Management Board, then appointed as Deputy Director of the Department of Transport of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province (old), accumulating a lot of experience in planning, infrastructure construction, and public investment management.

Besides, he also held many key positions in the local political system such as Chairman of Chau Duc District People's Committee, Secretary of Chau Duc District Party Committee, Secretary of Vung Tau City Party Committee. After the merger, he was transferred to Ho Chi Minh City to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the City Party Committee.

On this occasion, the meeting also elected two additional Vice Chairmen of the City People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Cong Vinh (Director of the Department of Finance) and Mr. Tran Van Bay (Chief Inspector of the City). In addition, the City People's Council dismissed, transferred and completed many other key positions of the City People's Committee and People's Council.

The addition of new personnel, including the new Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hoang Nguyen Dinh, is expected to contribute to strengthening leadership capacity, creating more motivation and innovation in the management of the Ho Chi Minh City government in the coming time.
