"The slope with millions of views"
Located just a few kilometers from the center of Phan Thiet, the "million-view slope" at the foot of Co Mountain has become an ideal "recharging" spot for nature lovers. It not only boasts breathtaking sunsets but also serves as a connecting point on the journey to visit two famous historical sites: Po Sah Inu Tower and Ong Hoang Palace.
The period from 4 to 6 PM is when the scenery here becomes most romantic and poetic, especially in the summer (from April to September). Sunset Slope at dusk is a vibrant picture with warm orange and yellow hues. As the sun gradually sets over the sea, it bathes the sky and the slope in brilliant orange. The gentle rays of the setting sun fall on the sea, creating a vivid scene that any photographer or social media enthusiast would admire.
Mount Co is located within the Lau Ong Hoang scenic complex, encompassing rolling hills bordering the sea, the Phu Hai estuary, and a picturesque coastline. From the summit, you can gaze out at the vast ocean, ancient fishing villages, and the majestic mountain range to the west. At the foot of the mountain lies the famous Sunset Slope – a popular spot where hundreds of tourists gather to watch the sunset, creating a stunning landscape. Mount Co is of moderate height, surrounded by lush greenery, offering a sense of tranquility amidst the bustling sea. The gently winding slope between the mountains and the sea becomes a wonderful stop for those who love exploring nature and seeking inner peace.
For over two years now, every weekend, Sunset Slope has attracted a large number of young people to admire the stunning sunset. Nguyen Anh Thu, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, shared: “I saw reviews on social media and accidentally discovered this interesting sunset viewing spot. Walking around the area in the afternoon enjoying the sea breeze is wonderful. From the top of the slope, you can admire the entire romantic sunset, the last rays of sunlight gradually softening, like a constantly changing painting, giving me a feeling of peace and relaxation.”

The ideal place to "recharge" your batteries.
Around the slope, there are many seasonal coffee shops and stalls selling typical snacks of Phan Thiet's coastal region. Young people can choose a small corner on the slope, sip a hot cup of coffee, chat with friends, and leisurely watch time pass, dispelling all fatigue and worries. Ms. Ho Thi Kim Dung (Phan Thiet ward) said: “On weekend afternoons, my family and I often come here to enjoy the cool breeze. If you want to watch the sunset, you can go to Doi Duong beach, but looking at the panoramic view from above, with mountains on one side and the sea on the other, my family can clearly feel the last rays of sunlight covering the entire road, creating a romantic and magical scene.”
Recently, this attractive check-in point has been included by local tour companies in their "city tour" itineraries, exploring nature combined with learning about history and culture. Because Sunset Slope is located right on the road connecting the historical site of Po Sah Inư Tower (an ancient Cham tower over 800 years old, a symbol of Cham culture) and Ong Hoang Pavilion (a place associated with the poet Han Mac Tu and romantic love stories), tourists can combine learning about Cham culture, history, and nature in one trip without spending much time traveling.
If you're planning a trip to Phan Thiet - Mui Ne, don't forget to visit Sunset Slope! Once you're there, you'll understand why so many people are captivated by this place, because the sea and sky blend together in the vibrant red sunset – an unforgettable moment for anyone who has ever set foot there.
