On August 19, at the Binh Dinh Provincial Convention Center in Quy Nhon City, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh Province coordinated with the Vietnam Ornamental Plants Association (VCA) to organize the opening ceremony of the 2023 VCA Exhibition and Competition in the Central Highlands - Central Region.
According to the Organizing Committee, this exhibition has the largest regional scale and the longest duration (lasting 10 days). This exhibition mobilized the largest number of works and SVC products from all regions of the country and many SVC works have the highest quality, especially bonsai.
The hundreds of years old Diamond Pine tree of Ut Bonsai Quy Nhon garden costs up to 3.6 billion VND.
Of which, there were more than 1,300 works on display and over 180 works in the competition. Among them were bonsai trees with unique shapes, hundreds of years old, worth tens of billions of dong from all over the world.
In Binh Dinh, in recent years, many gardeners have emerged with famous and valuable bonsai trees. The gardeners have created a sustainable connection in the bonsai movement of the province and the whole country such as Ut bonsai Quy Nhon, Dai Luan...
Chairman of the Vietnam Ornamental Plants Association Nguyen Huu Van said that this year's exhibition and competition has many special features. It is the largest regional exhibition, taking place for the longest time among recent exhibitions, and demonstrates the recovery and continued development of ornamental plants after the Covid-19 pandemic.
Attending the exhibition were nearly 20 organizations of the Ornamental Plant Association of provinces and cities, 10 clubs, craft villages, garden houses, many artisans, businessmen, and SVC members enthusiastically participating, selecting, and mobilizing thousands of works and SVC products of all kinds (ornamental plants, ornamental flowers, rocks, ornamental wood, ornamental fish, ornamental birds, ornamental chickens, flower village spaces, miniature landscapes).
The Chairman of the Vietnam Ornamental Plants Association assessed that the large scale in quantity and high quality, diverse types of ornamental plant products at this year's exhibition created a magnificent space, demonstrating the grandeur, diversity and high cultural and economic value of the ornamental plant industry.
The exhibition is also a healthy playground, a point of connection, exchange and sharing of experiences in production and business of SVC; an opportunity for trade and cooperation in developing markets for agricultural products and SVC.
Standing Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Thanh shared that in Binh Dinh province, in recent years, the movement of planting and caring for ornamental plants has been growing, many associations, gardeners, and Binh Dinh people have developed their economy through the ornamental plant profession with an estimated annual revenue of 100 billion VND from flowers and ornamental plants.
This is an opportunity for gardeners and artisans of the SVC Association in the province and other provinces to interact, connect, exchange experiences, and improve their artistic skills to create many valuable SVC works.
