Hanoi Giftshow International Fair is organized by Hanoi Center for Industrial Promotion and Industrial Development Consulting, under the chairmanship of Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, to create a bridge to help businesses and handicraft production establishments of Hanoi and the whole country meet, trade, connect business, negotiate and sign contracts with importers and commercial customers to promote consumption and export of handicraft products.
In the context of the general economic difficulties, Hanoi Giftshow 2024 is an opportunity for businesses and handicraft production establishments nationwide to promote and introduce products, find partners and customers, expand markets, and restore production. This will be a place for businesses and handicraft production establishments to display, promote, and introduce unique handicraft products, demonstrating the creativity and talent of manufacturers and artisans, while also being a favorable environment to promote business connections, especially in the export sector.
Held from October 10 to 14, the fair will feature 450 handicraft booths and is expected to attract over 17,000 visitors and trade both in person and online.
Within the framework of the fair, the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade organized the Award Ceremony of the Hanoi Handicraft Product Design Contest 2024. This is an annual contest to encourage organizations and individuals in the city to promote creative ideas in designing handicraft products to create handicraft products with new, creative designs, high economic, technical and aesthetic values suitable to customer tastes. This year, the contest recognized 90 winning products with 6 first prizes, 18 second prizes, 24 third prizes, 42 consolation prizes for 6 groups of handicraft products.
According to the Organizing Committee, after 13 years of organization, Hanoi Giftshow has affirmed its role as a prestigious export handicraft fair in the Asia- Pacific region, attracting nearly 5,500 booths of over 2,450 enterprises and production facilities from provinces and cities and more than 30 countries with typical handicraft products participating.
The fairs recorded over 130,000 visitors and shoppers, including over 8,500 importers and international trade visitors participating in trade connection activities. Thousands of contracts and memorandums of understanding on consumption of products with large export value were signed, contributing positively to the export growth of the handicraft industry from 6-8%/year.
Hanoi Giftshow 2024 promises to bring businesses, traditional craft villages, as well as craft village artisans opportunities to continue bringing Hanoi's handicraft industry to domestic and international friends, contributing to promoting exports and sustainable development of Hanoi's handicraft industry in particular and Vietnam in general.
