At some points, cars lined up for more than 3km, inching along the elevated Ring Road 3. This year’s holiday lasts 4 days (from August 31 to September 3), so the number of people returning to their hometowns and traveling is very large.

Many cars entered the emergency lane on the elevated Ring Road 3 to avoid traffic jams.

Traffic jams continued to occur on Nguyen Xien, Khuat Duy Tien, and Nghiem Xuan Yem streets, with vehicles lining up one after another on National Highway 1 and the Phap Van - Cau Gie Expressway.

Minh Quan (31 years old, from Nghia Hung district, Nam Dinh ) said that on the evening of August 30, because they had booked a bus late and all the tickets were sold out, this morning he and his friend rode a motorbike back to their hometown. "Riding a motorbike in the hot weather is more tiring, but I can control my time," Quan shared.
