During the phone call, Foreign Minister Yvette Cooper affirmed that the UK attaches great importance to strengthening the friendship and cooperation with Vietnam, and expressed her belief that with the cooperation of Acting Minister Le Hoai Trung, the two countries' Foreign Ministries will continue to promote their role in coordinating bilateral cooperation, and work together to promote cooperation in all aspects, aiming to elevate the bilateral relationship.

Ms. Yvette Cooper also affirmed that the British Foreign Office will continue to cooperate closely and effectively implement delegation exchanges and high-level contacts between the two countries as well as between the two sides' ministries and branches.

Appreciating the positive developments in the Vietnam-UK strategic partnership in recent times, Acting Minister Le Hoai Trung and UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper agreed on the need to promptly review cooperation aspects and promote the coordinating role.

The two sides agreed to continue to closely follow the action plans to implement the strategic partnership framework and promote the implementation of cooperation agreements between the two sides.

The two sides also agreed to negotiate and sign new cooperation documents, creating a favorable legal framework to further strengthen cooperation in all fields, bringing bilateral relations to a new stage, meeting the expectations of the people of the two countries, for peace , stability, cooperation and sustainable development in the region and the world.
