Warm social security programs

On the eve of Vietnamese Women's Day (October 20) this year, many orphans in Quynh Luu commune have received gifts and warm care from women's associations at all levels. Among them, Tran Dinh Thong (born in 2009) in Hong Phu village - Quynh Hong, Quynh Luu commune has been sponsored by the Women's Union of the commune and other benefactors with many meaningful supports.

Ms. Ho Thi Thuy Hang - President of the Women's Union of Quynh Luu commune said that Tran Dinh Thong is in a difficult situation as he is an orphan and currently lives with his grandmother who is over 80 years old but her health is very weak. Despite the difficulties, he still tries hard to study and is currently in grade 10 at Quynh Luu 1 High School.

Along with Tran Dinh Thong, on the occasion of October 20 this year, the Women's Union of Quynh Luu commune successfully connected with businesses to continue to sponsor 10 more orphans in difficult circumstances in the area, with a support level of 5 million VND/child/year. Currently, the Women's Union of Quynh Luu commune is directly sponsoring 18 orphans in special circumstances, with many forms of practical support.

In addition, women in Quynh Luu commune also implemented the "Loving Porridge" program, cooking and giving away more than 600 free bowls of porridge to patients and their families at Quynh Luu General Hospital. At the same time, they sent many gifts to encourage children being treated at the hospital. These simple acts contain a lot of love, demonstrating the spirit of sharing and responsibility to the community of local women when entering October - the month of love.

Meanwhile, in Cua Lo ward, towards the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 - October 20, 2025) and welcoming the 1st Congress of Women's Delegates of Cua Lo ward, term 2025-2030, the union at all levels has deployed many meaningful and practical activities.

In recent days, Thanh Cong women have collected scrap and raised funds to give gifts to women in difficult circumstances and orphans, to encourage and motivate them to strive to excel in their studies. At Nghi Thu 2 and Nghi Thu 4 branches, the "Raising pigs for savings" movement has been maintained regularly, through which 20 gifts, each worth 1 million VND and 600 kg of rice have been given to members and disadvantaged families in the area.

Across the province, women's unions at all levels have simultaneously implemented many practical social security activities, spreading the spirit of humanity and community responsibility. Typically, in Nga My commune, the Women's Union organized the activity "Helping members during the harvest season", mobilizing cadres and members to go to the fields to harvest rice for Ms. Kha Thi Luong - a member who is being treated for a serious illness. In addition to supporting labor, the women also regularly visit, encourage and help her in daily life, demonstrating the affection and sharing spirit of local women.

In Muong Xen commune, the Women's Union organized the launching ceremony of the "Rice Saving Jar" model at the Women's Union of Canh village. The model aims to create a regular source of support, contributing to helping members in difficulty, strengthening village and neighborhood ties, spreading the spirit of "The rich help the poor". On this occasion, the union presented 10 gifts to members in special circumstances, each gift including 1 bowl of rice, 1 set of pots and some other essential tools.

In Tuong Duong commune, the Women's Union organized a charity program at the District Medical Center, giving more than 100 free porridge portions to patients and their families being treated there. This is a meaningful activity, contributing to bringing warmth and sharing on the occasion of the traditional day of Vietnamese women, and at the same time welcoming the 1st Congress of the Women's Union of Tuong Duong commune, term 2025-2030.

Those simple but loving actions have contributed to spreading the beautiful image of Nghe An women with a dynamic spirit and a benevolent heart towards the community.

Exciting cultural, artistic and sports activities

In addition to social security activities, women's unions at all levels in Nghe An province have organized many cultural, artistic, physical training and sports activities, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere, spreading the spirit of solidarity and pride of female cadres and members towards the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union.

In many localities, mass performances and folk dance exchanges were organized on a large scale, attracting thousands of members to participate. Typical programs include the "Healthy and Beautiful Dance" program in Dong Hieu commune, "Pride Dance - Hoang Mai Aspiration" in Hoang Mai ward and the mass dance performance of the Women's Union of Dai Dong commune, attracting nearly 300 members to participate, forming the "Map of Vietnam" and the words "Dai Dong Women". In the communes and wards of Quynh Son, Vinh Loc, Truong Vinh, Vinh Phu... this activity was also elaborately staged, demonstrating the spirit of patriotism and pride in the 95-year tradition of the organization.

Along with that, the physical training and sports movement was promoted with many practical activities such as women's volleyball tournaments in communes and wards: Quynh Mai, Yen Xuan, Quynh Van, Quynh Luu, Nghia Khanh, Kim Lien, Quynh Anh, Quynh Phu, Thuan Trung... and women's football tournament in Quynh Anh commune. The tournaments took place enthusiastically, demonstrating the spirit of health training, improving the spiritual life of women, contributing to building the image of dynamic, healthy and beautiful Nghe An women.

In addition, many units organized meaningful cultural activities. Typically, the Thanh Vinh Ward Women's Union organized a wall newspaper design contest called "The Union in My Heart". Many units also organized cultural exchanges and Ao Dai performance contests, typically the Binh Hanh Hamlet Women's Union (Nghia Dan Commune) and the Chau Thanh Hamlet Women's Union (Van Du Commune)... thereby honoring traditional beauty, affirming the role, position and contributions of women in social life.

It can be seen that the cultural, artistic and sports activities to celebrate the founding day of the association have created a broad political and social movement, expressing the feelings, beliefs and pride of the members and women of Nghe An towards the association.
