Celebrating Vietnamese Women's Day in Belarus: Promoting solidarity and community cohesion

Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Executive Committee of the Vietnamese Association, many women and female students living, studying and working in Belarus and all officers and staff of the Embassy.

In his opening speech, Vietnamese Ambassador to Belarus Nguyen Van Trung conveyed the warm regards and congratulations of the Party and State leaders to the Vietnamese Association and the Women's Association of the community.

Recognize and commend many practical and meaningful activities of the Vietnamese Association, with women as the core, in maintaining and promoting the spirit of solidarity, community cohesion, inheriting and preserving traditions and national cultural identity.

The Ambassador especially expressed gratitude to the community for their contributions to the fundraising campaign to support people in the country affected by storms and floods, demonstrating the precious compatriotism of our nation.

On behalf of the Community, Chairman of the Vietnamese Association Truong Cong Dao expressed his gratitude to the leaders of the Party, State and the Vietnamese Embassy for always caring for, accompanying and taking care of community life, truly being a home of national unity in Belarus.

The Vietnamese Association expressed its hope that the Embassy would continue to support the Association in organizing exchange and community connection activities, thereby creating a meaningful playground, promoting solidarity, mutual support, always looking towards the Fatherland and cultivating friendship and solidarity between the people of the two countries.

The Community Women's Association, with the core of the dance team and the Vietnamese language class, brought to the ceremony special performances. The graceful traditional Ao Dai, along with bright smiles, sweet voices and fresh flowers at the ceremony vividly expressed the joyful atmosphere of women across the country on the day honoring Vietnamese women.

With the majority of members of the Vietnamese Association in Belarus, the Community Women's Association has had many meaningful activities, from unique cultural programs to teaching and learning Vietnamese, volunteer activities, mutual support, contributing significantly to the development of the Vietnamese community movement in Belarus, where life is still full of hardships and difficulties, due to the embargo and the impact of armed conflicts in neighboring countries.

The Women's Union has promoted the role, strength and indomitable will of Vietnamese women, overcoming all difficulties and hardships to preserve the warm family, warm compatriot love and good values of our people in this distant Central-Eastern European country.
