Each person chooses to express patriotism differently.

Every April, in the hearts of every Vietnamese person, sacred emotions arise, remembering the difficult yet great years, when ordinary people wrote the immortal heroic epic of the nation with their own blood, bones, youth and patriotism.

The 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, a sacred milestone not only in the flow of national history but also in the hearts of every Vietnamese person. It is not only a day of victory, but also a day for us to remember and pay tribute to the great sacrifices of many previous generations, those who fell for the independence and freedom of the nation.

Each person has a different way of expressing patriotism. It was touching to see thousands of people excitedly holding the red flag with yellow star, lining up to watch the parade. Walking along the streets of Ho Chi Minh City in recent days, people, tourists, especially foreign tourists, were extremely excited to see the image of young people jubilantly at the venues organizing commemorative activities.

"April 30 is not only an occasion to remember the historic victory, but also for successive generations to contribute their strength, enthusiasm and sense of responsibility in building and defending the country."

During the rehearsals for military parades and marches, images of soldiers, police officers, etc. are always taken by young people and posted on their personal social media accounts with many emotional shares: "Proud to be Vietnamese", "If there is an afterlife, I hope I am still Vietnamese"... It seems that everyone has a deep feeling for this sacred land and its passionate patriotic tradition.

It is touching to see the image of veteran Tran Van Thanh. He inspired the younger generation with patriotism when he rode his motorbike from Nghe An to Ho Chi Minh City to "see the peace of the country". As he said: "I feel like a liberation soldier in the past, marching to the South for the peace of the country. Being able to attend the parade and march on this important occasion is the motivation for a veteran like me to overcome the difficult journey".

Gratitude is not only expressed in solemn ceremonies, but also in every small action. It can be a story told to the next generation about the past, an old photo shared on social networks with sincere emotions, or a journey back to the source to listen to stories that have become legends. Schools organize meaningful activities to celebrate the Southern Liberation Day for students.

Many young people have chosen their own way to express their gratitude and national pride, from traditional photo albums to inspirational videos on social media. Appearing on the main streets of the capital, the flowing ao dai, the Southern checkered scarf, or the blue military uniform have also covered all social media platforms.

A series of videos and art photo collections inspired by history have received tens of thousands of likes and shares. For young people, history is no longer dry lines in books but an endless source of creative inspiration...

In addition to traditional commemorative activities, a series of new trends such as dancing to the song Red Blood Yellow Skin , painting the national flag or transforming to the song Pride of Vietnam have been stirring up social networking sites, attracting the attention of millions of people. The heroic revolutionary melodies are a catalyst for young people to express their patriotism, while expressing their response to an important national holiday.

Faith in young people

In times of peace, the image of the army-civilian relationship, a value that has created the strength of the Vietnamese people throughout many wars, is truly recreated in everyday life. It is young people volunteering to teach in remote areas, youth volunteer groups crossing storms and floods to support their compatriots, and young engineers creating day and night for a green, clean and modern Vietnam. The army-civilian relationship is no longer a memory, but is present in the form of sharing, solidarity and responsibility.

Gratitude today is no longer something that is only mentioned in textbooks or memorial ceremonies, but is living and becoming a part of the consciousness of the young generation. That is when they understand that peace is not the end of a story, but the beginning of a mission to make the country not only peaceful but also develop.

Patriotism of the young generation is not only a remembrance of the past, but also a way to show responsibility for the present and future of the country.

In other words, patriotism of the young generation is not only a remembrance of the past, but also a way to show responsibility for the present and future of the country. In the modern context, patriotism of the young is not only expressed through gratitude, but also through concrete actions.

In the article titled "Vietnam is one, the Vietnamese people are one" , General Secretary To Lam emphasized: " Today's generation - from cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees to workers, farmers, intellectuals, businessmen, students, all classes of people are descendants of the Dragon and Fairy - need to be deeply aware that: we are inheriting the great heritage values from our ancestors, and we have the responsibility to make the country famous in the new era. Every action today must be worthy of the blood shed, of the sacrifices and losses that the whole nation has suffered...

Looking ahead, we have every right to be proud and believe in the endogenous strength of the Vietnamese people – a nation that has defeated foreign invaders many times and risen from war, asserting itself before history and before the world. With a thousand-year tradition of building and defending the country, with a constant desire to rise, with a talented, ambitious, patriotic, creative and courageous young generation – Vietnam will certainly succeed."

Continuing the fine traditions of the nation, the young generation living a decent life, living with ideals, dedicating and contributing is also patriotism. Because that is the most genuine way to express gratitude to those who made history, and at the same time write a new chapter, peace and development for the S-shaped land. Young people learn to be grateful through each page of history books, through documentaries, through true stories from grandparents, parents, those who lived through the war to understand that freedom is not obvious, today's peace is the price of blood, bones and tears yesterday.

We believe that today's young people feel that they are living a part of the country's story. A story that has not stopped but continues through each act of kindness and each small but passionate creation, each dream not only for themselves but also for the whole community. Gratitude is a strong bond that connects generations. It helps us not to forget who we are, where we come from and to live in a way that is worthy of what our ancestors left behind...
