National Great Unity Day in Jat B village, Ea Hiu commune

On the morning of November 14, Jat B village (Ea Hiu commune, Krong Pac district) organized the National Great Unity Day to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front - Traditional Day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2023).

Attending the festival were Member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Hoai Duong; Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Krong Pac District Party Committee Tran Quoc Vinh; Vice Chairman of the Krong Pac District People's Committee Y Djoang Nie; Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Krong Pac District Ngo Ba Nghiep; leaders of the district's departments and offices; local leaders and people of Jat B village.

At the festival, delegates reviewed the 93-year historical tradition of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and listened to a report on the results of the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" in 2023 of Jat B village.

Accordingly, Jat B village has 104 households, 516 people, with 3 ethnic groups living together: Ede, Kinh and Van Kieu, nearly 80% of the people in the village follow Protestantism. Although life is still difficult, the people in the village always uphold the spirit of solidarity and unity in all activities, actively transforming the structure of crops and livestock, developing the economy , increasing income and sustainably reducing poverty.

In 2023, the district's Vietnam Fatherland Front and other units and organizations supported the construction of 2 solidarity houses for 2 poor households in the village. With the encouragement, support and introduction of the Party Committee, government and socio-political organizations, 10 students in the village have completed the industrial sewing vocational training program and have been introduced to work at companies and factories; 10 workers have stable jobs at a business in a neighboring commune, and 2 workers work for THACO Group in Ea H'leo district.

The Party cell, the Self-management Committee, and the Village Front Committee also regularly coordinate to inspect and guide households to benefit from support sources to develop the economy, ensure the maintenance and effective development of breeds and seedlings, and contribute to increasing income. Thanks to good support and companionship with the people, the survey results in 2023 show that Jat B village has only 8 poor households and 5 near-poor households, a decrease of 10 poor households and 25 near-poor households compared to the end of 2022.

Political security and social order in the village are always maintained. Children of school age are all able to go to school, and there are no more dropouts. People actively participate in protecting the environment, eliminating backward customs, preserving good traditional cultural values, and joining hands to build new rural areas.

Speaking at the festival, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Hoai Duong praised the contributions, efforts and sense of responsibility of the Party cell, self-management board, front work board, organizations and people of Jat B village. He also hoped that the Party cell, self-management board, organizations and people of Jat B village would continue to join hands and unite to excellently complete all assigned tasks, continue to maintain the title of cultural village; unite to develop the economy, strive for the whole village to have no poor households; improve living standards along with raising people's knowledge to continue to consolidate the strength of the great solidarity bloc, build the village to be increasingly developed, progressive, civilized and peaceful.

On this occasion, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province presented 10 gifts to families in difficult circumstances in Jat B village. The sister unit of Jat B village, Nguyen Duc Canh Primary School Party Cell, also presented 2 motorbikes (worth 7 million VND/unit) to 2 poor households and 390,000 VND/household/month to 2 families who are humanitarian addresses of the village.
