During the Lunar New Year holiday of the Year of the Dragon 2024, the weather was quite pleasant, with many warm and sunny days, ideal for spring outings, sightseeing, and tourism . Therefore, many tourist areas and attractions in Nghe An attracted a large number of visitors during the holiday.

According to a report from the Department of Tourism, during the 7-day Lunar New Year holiday in 2024 (from the 29th day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Rabbit to the 5th day of the 1st lunar month of the Year of the Dragon, i.e., February 8-14, 2024), the entire province welcomed and served approximately 315,000 tourists. Total revenue from tourism reached approximately 400 billion VND.

Tourist destinations with a large number of visitors and pilgrims include: Kim Lien Special National Monument (nearly 40,000 visitors), Ong Hoang Muoi Temple (nearly 33,000 visitors), followed by Corn Temple (Hoang Mai town), Dai Tue Pagoda (Nam Dan), Quang Trung Emperor Temple (Vinh city), Truong Bon National Monument (Do Luong)...

During the Tet holiday, the Department of Tourism directed the strengthening of fire prevention and control measures, ensuring security and order, environmental hygiene, and safety for tourists. Tourist areas, attractions, and accommodation establishments complied well with regulations, organized activities celebrating the Party and the Spring Festival, and ensured security, order, and safety for people and property of tourists.
