Nghe An: The '4 on-site' force strives to help 15 villages of Muong Tip commune isolated by floods to repair broken roads and swept away houses.

By the night of July 23, all villages in Muong Tip commune (merged from two communes Muong Tip and Muong Ai of the old Ky Son district) were still completely isolated because the only road leading to the commune had been swept away by floodwaters into the river. The "4 on-site" force is making efforts to help people overcome the consequences.

Muong Tip Border Guard Station helps people in Muong Tip commune overcome the consequences of flooding. Muong Tip commune was merged from Muong Tip and Muong Ai communes of the old Ky Son district. The commune has 15 villages, 1,140 households with a population of 6,412 people. The total number of poor households in the commune is 696 (61%); near-poor households are 290 (25.45%). After heavy rain and rapidly rising river water causing flooding for many days now, Muong Tip currently has 78 houses affected.
