Acceptance of the project of tourism combined with medical examination and treatment in Khanh Hoa

On the afternoon of June 14, the Science and Technology Council of Khanh Hoa province organized the acceptance of the provincial-level project "Research and proposal of a model for implementing tourism combined with medical examination and treatment based on technology platform". The project was chaired by Associate Professor, Dr. Le Xuan Hung - University of Information and Communications.

The objective of the project is to analyze the current status of tourism development combined with medical examination and treatment in Khanh Hoa; propose an appropriate organizational model and management solutions to diversify specific tourism products; and at the same time develop an information technology platform to serve the implementation of this model in practice.

The total cost of implementing the project is over 2.35 billion VND, of which the scientific career budget provides over 656 million VND, the rest from other sources. The implementation period is 24 months, from April 2023 to the end of March 2025. The research results have systematized the theoretical basis, international and domestic experience; proposed synchronous and feasible solutions to develop the type of tourism combined with medical examination and treatment until 2025, with a vision to 2030. Notably, the construction of an information system to support service management and promotion is noteworthy.

The research team recommended that the Provincial People's Committee direct relevant departments and branches to coordinate in developing a set of quality criteria, adjusting tourism development planning, and issuing policies to attract investment and high-quality medical human resources. The implementation of these solutions will contribute to improving the quality, competitiveness and position of Khanh Hoa tourism domestically and internationally.

The Provincial Science and Technology Council has accepted the project and classified it as satisfactory.
