Although you have spent a lot of time coaching in recent years, your name is still always seen at the National Golf Championship. What makes you consider this an “indispensable” tournament in your career?
For every Vietnamese athlete, this is the most prestigious tournament of the year. Everyone wants to participate, and if they win, it will be a memorable milestone in their career.
For me, the National Golf Championship is like a familiar "meeting place" every year, where I can both compete and immerse myself in the atmosphere of top competition.
You won the National Women's Amateur Championship for three consecutive years (2009 - 2011). When you recall that memory, what do you remember most?
The National Golf Championship has always been associated with many memories for me. In 2009, when I won my first championship at the age of 15, I simply thought of winning a tournament. But from 2010 onwards, I felt the pressure, the importance and the true meaning of this title.
At that time, I had almost no opponents, all three times I was far ahead of the runner-up. However, the tournament was small and had fewer athletes than it does now. That is why, every time I come back and see the young players making obvious progress, I want to compete even more to experience that fierce competition.

What is your goal at the National Golf Championship - Gia Lai this year?
Now, I don’t put too much emphasis on achievements. Every tournament is now a journey for me to experience and challenge myself. Even though my training time is limited and my physical strength is not as good as before, I still want to step out on the field, compete and conquer new limits.
My job is related to teaching and coaching golf. I impart techniques, share experiences and my golf experiences to my students. I want to be a shining example, even though my health is not as good as before, I still persevere and patiently pursue my passion, not giving up. I hope you will see in it a source of inspiration to always be steadfast in your goals and dreams.
How do you rate FLC Golf Links Quy Nhon?
This is my first time competing at FLC Golf Links Quy Nhon. But I have played at many courses of this type such as Ho Tram, Hoi An, Nova Phan Thiet,.... I really like the characteristics of the course: beautiful scenery, many challenges such as wind, sand traps, small greens, many ball rolls... requiring concentration and careful calculation.
I don't hit far but I'm quite stable. After a long time without playing, my feeling may not be perfect, but I believe if I can keep my mind stable, I will control the match well.

After nearly two decades of golf, what helps you keep your passion alive?
I always want to develop the women's golf movement in Vietnam and inspire the younger generation. No matter the circumstances, everyone needs to move forward, constantly improving their technique, performance and themselves.
When seeing the seniors still persevering, I hope you will also try harder. Only when there are many excellent female athletes, Vietnamese women's golf can really go far.
How do you see women's golf in Vietnam changing in recent years compared to when you first started?
You guys now have access to much better training and coaching than my generation. You also have the opportunity to compete in quality tournaments, compete with many good athletes, thereby improving your skills and mentality.
With such advantages, I believe there will be more young stars to take Vietnamese women's golf further.
What do you expect from the women's golf team at the upcoming 33rd SEA Games?
Wearing the national team jersey is a great honor. There will be pressure but I hope you will overcome it to show your best performance. If you win a medal, it will be a big boost, attracting more sponsors, helping you have better training and competition conditions.
I want to tell you: "Believe in the process, the results will come". If you want to reap the sweet fruit, you have to persevere in taking care of the tree every day. Practice hard, be disciplined, improve your skills, compete a lot to train your mentality and gain experience. That is the only way to create true talent.
