Speaking to Tien Phong reporter on the morning of October 2, a representative of the Hai Phong Department of Education and Training said that the unit had directed Phan Boi Chau High School (Nam Sach commune) to verify and clarify the case of a male student fighting and having to be hospitalized. Actively coordinate with families in protecting and providing psychological and health support for students.
According to initial information, after school on Friday afternoon (September 27), MBN (grade 11) had a collision with PTA (grade 10).
During recess on Saturday afternoon (September 28), MBN, a 10th grader, met a PTA member and agreed to meet at the Western Urban Area after school to resolve the conflict. Neither student reported to the homeroom teacher, the supervisor, the security guard, or the school leadership.
When they met at the meeting place, a fight broke out between MBN and 4 other students. The incident was recorded on video and spread on social media.
Immediately after that, the school started to verify, the results showed that male student MBN (residing in Nam Sach commune, Hai Phong city) was beaten. The four students who participated in the beating were: PTA, TVQ, VTD and NXH, all 10th grade students at the school.
The school has worked with homeroom teachers of grade 10, parents and students and asked them to write a report as a basis for handling violations.
At the same time, the school board went to Hai Duong General Hospital to inquire about MBN’s health and talk to the student’s parents. Through the discussion, MBN suffered a broken nose and a broken left hand hypophysis.
On September 28, the school's board of directors went to Nam Sach Commune Police to discuss the above incident and request the police's cooperation.
On September 29, the school held a meeting and decided to suspend four students who participated in the beating for a week while waiting for the conclusion of the Nam Sach Commune Police.
