To implement the plan, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training stated that it will review and select preschools that meet the conditions for pilot implementation: providing guidance on reviewing the conditions at the unit; surveying the needs of parents and caregivers, combined with communication to create consensus and support from relevant parties and the community.
Pilot implementation will take place in preschools under the direct management of the Department; coordination with local authorities will lead to implementation in schools that meet national standards, schools implementing high-quality, advanced, and regionally and internationally integrated educational content; and schools adjacent to primary schools currently implementing integrated programs.
Training and capacity building for staff. In coordination with relevant units, organize training and capacity building for management staff and teachers on introducing English to preschool children using a technology-based approach and integrated learning materials. Simultaneously, a pilot study will be conducted to select materials suitable to the unit's specific conditions and in accordance with regulations.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training clearly stated that when organizing pilot programs, it is necessary to ensure they are appropriate to the psychological and physiological characteristics of each age group, with suitable durations. In particular, attention should be paid to developing individual abilities; confident and proactive communication skills; and creating enthusiasm for children to participate in activities.
