The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training announced that it has issued numerous urgent directives to all general education institutions in the city regarding important tasks in the coming period.
Accordingly, each unit must review the progress of its first semester tasks, promptly adjust plans to ensure timely completion, and prioritize tasks that directly impact the quality of education and the unit's reputation.
In particular, under no circumstances should students' academic results be used to evaluate teachers' performance or as a basis for rewarding or disciplining teachers.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training requests that schools maintain student discipline, school safety, and effectively coordinate with local authorities and parents. They should also enhance the effectiveness of internal communication, facilitate two-way exchange, and promptly report any issues beyond their authority.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, schools are strictly prohibited from using students' academic results to evaluate teacher performance, reward, or discipline them.
Regarding the school-wide program being implemented in schools, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training emphasizes the responsibility of the principal in carrying out the program. The principal is fully responsible for: selecting service providers, teaching staff, and the content of the implemented program.
Furthermore, all programs must be reviewed, evaluated, and certified by the competent authority before implementation, ensuring compliance with regulations, transparency, and effectiveness.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training leadership also requested that schools review the legal documents of businesses, operating license documents, and the qualifications and credentials of teachers when implementing school programs. For foreign teachers' documents: Certified copies of: temporary residence permit, passport, diplomas, certificates (translated and notarized), work permit, and employment duration ensuring the teaching plan for the school year must be required. The workplace must be in Ho Chi Minh City, and the employing company must be the intended collaborating partner. Absolutely no commitment to supplement documents after signing the contract regarding the standards and conditions for foreign language teachers will be accepted.
Urgent directive regarding competitions not organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training leadership has directed that when schools coordinate with other units to send students to competitions (competitions not organized by the Department of Education and Training, and international competitions), they must check the licenses of these units, follow the procedures, and send the information to the Department of Education and Training. Businesses should not directly send the list of students to the Department. When organizing award ceremonies at schools, the awards at the city level must be those organized or co-organized by the Department of Education and Training.
