Developing the teaching staff, improving the quality of training and scientific research.

On the afternoon of December 11th, Tra Vinh University (Vinh Long province) held a ceremony to announce and present appointment decisions for the title of Associate Professor for 2025 to 5 individuals who have been recognized by the State Council of Professors as meeting the standards.

The newly appointed Associate Professors pose for a commemorative photo with the school's leadership.

Among them are two lecturers currently working at Tra Vinh University: Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Nam, appointed as Associate Professor in Linguistics; and Associate Professor, Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tai, Head of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, School of Khmer Language - Culture and Arts of Southern Vietnam and Humanities ( thuộc Tra Vinh University), appointed as Associate Professor in Educational Sciences.

The remaining three individuals appointed as Associate Professors in Medicine are doctors currently working at hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City, while also participating in teaching and scientific research at Tra Vinh University. Specifically, they are: Associate Professor, Doctor Nguyen Thanh Nam, Ho Chi Minh City Eye Hospital; Associate Professor, Doctor Pham Ngoc Thach, Children's Hospital 2, Ho Chi Minh City; and Associate Professor, Doctor Nguyen Thanh Van, Thanh Van Aesthetic Hospital.

The addition of 5 Associate Professors in 2025 further affirms Tra Vinh University's efforts in its strategy of developing its faculty, enhancing training and research capabilities, and aiming to become a prestigious higher education institution in the Mekong Delta region and the whole country.

Tra Vinh University is a public university, established in 2001. Over the years, the university has continuously improved the quality and qualifications of its faculty. Currently, the university has 4 Professors and 46 Associate Professors, making a significant contribution to enhancing the quality of education, scientific research, and the university's academic reputation.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa, Rector of Tra Vinh University, stated that with the goal of training high-quality human resources for the region and the entire country, the university identifies quality as the prerequisite and guiding principle for all activities. To date, the university has 27 training programs that have achieved international quality accreditation according to prestigious standards such as FIBAA (Europe), AUN-QA (Southeast Asia), and ABET (USA), becoming one of the universities with the highest number of internationally accredited programs in the Mekong Delta region. This provides a foundation for students to participate in international exchange and internship programs, enhancing their competitiveness when entering the labor market.
