The grocery store is located on Highway 20, the section passing through Gia Hiep Commune, Di Linh District, standing out from afar with the orange color of chili flowers. In recent years, the store has been a check-in point for many visitors traveling from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Lat. During Tet, the store becomes even more bustling because the flowers bloom brilliantly covering the house, attracting hundreds of visitors to take photos.

Nguyen Phuong Hoa, 25 years old, learned about the grocery store through videos on social media, so on a trip to Da Lat on the 4th day of Tet, she and her friends stopped by to take pictures.

"I was really surprised to see flowers covering the house, the brilliant colors are worth stopping to admire," said Phuong Hoa.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Tam, 30 years old, living in Da Lat, said she visited the grocery store for the first time two years ago and was impressed by the "fairy tale" scenery of the house.

"Every year during Tet, I stop by the grocery store to take pictures," said Ms. Tam, adding that the store arranges plastic chairs and swings for customers to rest and enjoy.

Chili flower, also known as firecracker flower, dawn, is a climbing plant, originating from South America. The flower is tubular, elongated, looks like a chili with 4 soft, thin petals, slightly curved at the tip, about 7.5 cm long. The flower is bright orange, shiny, and stands out from afar.

Chili peppers usually bloom from January to April. The clusters grow in clusters from the base, stem, and branches, so the flowers are densely packed, forming large patches. After Tet is the time when the flowers bloom and the petals are most brilliant.

Shop owner Huu Thang, 65, said his family has been growing the chili bush for nearly 20 years. It started out as a vine used as a fence, but over time, the vine has covered the roof and three walls of the 40-square-meter house.

The tree is easy to grow, grows quickly without requiring much care, so it is planted by local people as a hedge or allowed to climb trellises to create shade in front yards.

According to Mr. Thang, planting chili peppers not only makes the roof more unique but also helps cool the house on hot days. To prevent the plants from growing wildly, the family has to trim the branches and dry twigs every month, maintaining the landscape of the house.

The shop owner said that since the flowers started blooming, more than 100 customers have come to take pictures and admire the flowers every day. Tourists and locals can take pictures for free, but they must maintain order, not break tree branches, and park their vehicles in designated areas. In addition, customers must be careful not to disrupt the shop's business operations.
