In the list of 50 most beautiful villages in the world in 2025, Cam Thanh village of Vietnam ranked 20th.

Forbes magazine describes Cam Thanh village as a river symphony, with bamboo basket boats gliding gently through the Bay Mau coconut forest, boatmen casting nets under the swaying leaves, cooking classes bustling with the scent of lemongrass and tamarind while buffaloes leisurely graze next to the stilt houses.

When the sunset falls, the Thu Bon River reflects the color of copper, the whole village comes to life.

This title not only honors the beauty of Cam Thanh village but also contributes to affirming the brand of Da Nang - a new tourist city, developing widely after merging with Quang Nam .

Previously, Lonely Planet - a prestigious global travel guide - published an article by editor James Pham about his 3-day, 2-night experience in Da Nang. He called this place a destination that converges sea, mountains, cuisine , heritage and has a relaxing atmosphere that is rarely found anywhere else.

According to experts, with its rich nature, synchronous infrastructure, and strong investment, in the near future, Da Nang can completely compete directly with destinations such as Phuket (Thailand), Bali (Indonesia) and Maldives (Republic of Maldives) - places that are considered the world's leading resort "paradise".

Currently, Da Nang is considered the "tourist capital" of Korean visitors. According to information from the Tourism Department, in the first 6 months of this year alone, the city welcomed about 870,000 Korean visitors, accounting for nearly 40% of the total number of Korean visitors to Vietnam.

Not only that, Da Nang is also a favorite destination for American tourists. According to accommodation search data collected on online travel platform Agoda in January, Da Nang became the most searched city by American tourists, surpassing Tokyo (Japan) and Bangkok (Thailand), with an impressive growth of 1,538% over the same period.

Not only stopping at growth numbers or rankings on international charts, the attraction of Da Nang is also clearly shown through the experiences of tourists themselves. Many people commented that this land is changing positively, but still retains its inherent friendliness.

Simon O'Reilly, a tourist from Hong Kong (China), said that the first time he came to Hoi An (now part of Da Nang) was in 1994, when the old town was still empty of foreign tourists, and there were no rows of colorful lanterns or bustling bars and cafes.

"I don't remember very clearly the dishes I enjoyed 31 years ago. Only the delicious bread I ate here is what I remember forever," Simon said.

Returning 31 years later, the tourist was surprised by the changes. Hoi An has become a bustling meeting place, with crowds of people coming every night to see the lanterns, shop, and enjoy the cuisine. Notable among these are special policies for MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, seminars) and wedding tourists. At the same time, the city introduces 50 green, ecological and craft village tourism destinations, with many incentives applicable until the end of the year.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, this year Da Nang aims to welcome 17.3 million visitors and generate revenue of more than VND29,900 billion - numbers that are both challenging and show great expectations.

Not only relying on natural landscapes, Da Nang also conquers tourists with its cultural depth, from opera, fishing festival, Central cuisine to traditional crafts such as Nam O fish sauce, Cam Ne mats, Non Nuoc stone carvings.
