On the occasion of its 30th anniversary, the Hanoi Association of Small and Medium Enterprises was honored to receive the First Class Labor Medal, a noble award from the Party and State in recognition of the Association's continuous efforts and contributions to the development of the capital and the country.

After 30 years of establishment and development, Hanoi Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (Hanoisme) has become a prestigious organization, accompanying and supporting businesses in the process of sustainable development, economic integration and improving competitiveness.

From the early days of establishment with a modest number of members, up to now, the Association has expanded its scale with more than 11,000 members, 28 district clubs in Hanoi, 4 clubs in Ho Chi Minh City, 5 representative offices in the US, Japan, Austria, Singapore and the Czech Republic, contributing significantly to the socio-economic development of the capital and the country.

The past three decades have been a challenging yet proud journey. Hanoisme is not only a common home for small and medium enterprises but also a pioneer in connecting, supporting and promoting business innovation, enhancing competitiveness, helping businesses gradually reach out to regional and international markets.

During its development, the Association has implemented many practical activities such as policy consulting, organizing specialized training courses, connecting trade, providing financial and legal support, helping businesses adapt to market changes and develop sustainably.

These contributions have affirmed the important role of the Association in the business ecosystem, while creating a strong driving force for the socio-economic development of Hanoi and the whole country.

Typical brands that have spread widely in the market such as: T&T, SHB, May 10, Tan A Dai Thanh, Misa, Sunhouse, Traphaco... have become the pride not only of the Association but also of the Vietnamese business community.

Dozens of member enterprises of the Association have won the national brand award, the highest award for Vietnamese products chaired by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, creating conditions for enterprises to boost their competitiveness in domestic and foreign consumption, especially with annual export turnover increasing by 10-20%.

Continuing the journey of affirming the position of Vietnamese brands in the domestic and international markets, while spreading good values ​​in the business community, the Hanoi Association of Small and Medium Enterprises organizes the Mac Dinh Chi Award - No. 1 Brand to honor 30 typical brands.

According to Hanoisme Vice President Mac Quoc Anh, the economic success of the capital city has a very important contribution from the private economic sector in the area. If in the early stages of renovation, the private economy only played a secondary role, the economy mainly relied on the state sector and foreign direct investment (FDI), then in the past two decades, the private economy has increasingly played an important role.

Especially when the Politburo issued Resolution No. 10-NQ/TW of the 12th Central Executive Committee (2017) on developing the private economy into an important driving force of the economy, Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress (2020), Resolution No. 41-NQ/TW of the 13th Politburo (2023) on building and promoting the role of Vietnamese entrepreneurs in the new era and most recently Resolution No. 48-NQ/TW on developing the private economy, this economic sector has risen strongly, becoming one of the leading important pillars of the economy and increasingly demonstrating itself as the most important driving force to promote national economic growth.

Steady steps on the path of development

In the integration process, Hanoi enterprises are generally aware of preserving cultural identity and consider it the foundation for creating a unique competitive advantage.

Many units have been innovating based on traditional values: Designing fashion products inspired by ethnic motifs; producing handicrafts, combining the quintessence of craft villages with modern trends; bringing Vietnamese cuisine to the world while still preserving the traditional flavor.

The ceremony to honor Thang Long entrepreneurs and businesses is an annual activity of Hanoisme, aiming to encourage typical enterprises and businessmen of the capital, making positive contributions to socio-economic development.

Through each product and service, the businessmen of the Capital not only create economic benefits but also contribute to promoting culture and spreading the Vietnamese spirit in business. Developing businesses while honoring core cultural values ​​is a way to affirm that Vietnamese corporate culture is the soul that creates lasting vitality for Vietnamese brands in the global market.

Not only seeking profit but also solving community and environmental problems is the viewpoint, courage and long-term goal of many businesses.

These businesses aim for sustainable development, balancing economic growth with positive contributions to society. Many young people start businesses with the desire to use business initiatives to create positive impacts and practical values ​​for the community.

For example, there are projects that recycle plastic waste into useful products, businesses that provide clean water, or free education programs for disadvantaged communities. A typical example is KOTO (Know One, Teach One) - a restaurant that provides free vocational training for disadvantaged youth.

This reality has proven that business can effectively go hand in hand with social responsibility; these models not only help improve the lives of many people, but also inspire compassion and the spirit of mutual love - precious national values ​​in the business community.

In the coming time, the Association will further improve its functions and roles as a "common home" for small and medium enterprises, focusing on supporting members, enhancing experience sharing among members; exchanging information on domestic and foreign markets, regulatory and legal issues; import and export activities...

In addition, proactively cooperate in training and domestic and international cooperation; promote members to carry out digital transformation, apply new technology, green production as well as gradually deploy circular economy for rapid and sustainable growth...

Hanoisme always encourages and accompanies businesses pursuing the philosophy of "economic development in parallel with community responsibility", considering it a long-term direction to create a humane and sustainable economy.
