Symbol of faith and aspiration
Located in the western border area of Thanh Hoa , Bat Mot commune is a locality with many difficulties, rugged terrain, and difficult transportation. The whole commune has more than 600 students of all levels, but the current school system is scattered and degraded, and learning and living conditions are still lacking.
Faced with that reality, investing in building a modern, spacious, inter-level boarding school is an urgent requirement, meeting the legitimate aspirations of the people, while contributing to narrowing the educational gap between the mountainous and lowland areas.
The project is deployed on a land area of about 1.5 hectares, investing in new construction and synchronous renovation of items: 22 classrooms, 12 subject rooms, the principal's office, a multi-purpose house, a traditional cultural house, a library, a boarding and semi-boarding area for 260 students, a public house for 25 teachers and many auxiliary items. The total investment is expected to be about 170 billion VND. The investor is the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects in Thuong Xuan district.
This is one of the key projects to welcome the 20th Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030.
Sowing letters at the "fence" of the Fatherland
Bat Mot Boarding School is not only a place to study, but also a second home for children in the border areas of the Fatherland. From here, the dreams of many students in the highlands are nurtured and supported.
Nguyen Vu Thuy Duong, a student of class 8A, emotionally shared: "I dream of becoming a doctor in the future to treat my grandmother, the person who raised me, and to help people no longer have to travel far through the forest when they are sick."

Hai Dang, an 8B student, hopes to become a construction engineer: "I want to build many more beautiful schools like this for children in the highlands in the future."

Lang Thi Gia Han, a 7A student, dreams of becoming a teacher: "I want to return to teach at the school where I first learned my letters."

Luong Anh Khang, a Thai ethnic student in grade 7, dreams of becoming a professional soccer player: “The new schoolyard is very big! I dream of one day wearing the national team jersey.”

There are students here who dream of becoming inventors to "make machines to help their parents and relatives reduce the hardship of farming and carrying firewood." This is a vivid demonstration of the aspirations of the young generation in the highlands, the future owners of the country.
Uniting people, maintaining borders
Not only does it have educational significance, the project also has long-term strategic significance in terms of national defense and security. The school is a testament to the comprehensive care of the Party and State for ethnic minorities; it is a symbol of solidarity, responsibility and trust in the frontline of the Fatherland.
The people of Bat Mot commune were moved when witnessing the groundbreaking ceremony. An old man in the village shared: “With a spacious school, our children can go to school with peace of mind. Teachers not only teach, but also enlighten the journey to adulthood for children in the highlands.”

Another parent representative expressed: “In the middle of Bat Mot mountain forest, teachers are a warm support. Teachers teach our children with all their heart and live by example, simple, patient, full of love.”

Ms. Vi Thi Tinh, a young teacher at the school, could not hide her emotion: “I am proud to be a part of the school at the headland of the Fatherland. The new school is not only the dream of us teachers and students, but also a living proof of the attention of the Party, State and people of the whole country to education in the highlands.”

Committed to accompanying and advancing the future
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized: "Building a boarding school in the border area is not only a task of educational development, but also a command from the heart, conscience and responsibility to the community."

The Prime Minister requested ministries, branches and Thanh Hoa province to continue to stick to the target, speed up legal procedures, ensure the project is completed on schedule, with quality and safety; at the same time, take good care of the lives of teachers and students, creating conditions for the school to soon come into effective operation.
The Government affirmed that it will accompany and support in removing all difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process, aiming to turn the project into a model for the school system in border areas across the country.
When completed, Bat Mot Inter-level Boarding School will be a “light of knowledge” lighting up the frontier, a place that sows the seeds of hope for generations of highland students. It is not only the result of investment and construction, but also the crystallization of the people’s hearts and the Party’s will, a living symbol of the aspiration to build the future from the most remote villages of the Fatherland.
