On October 14, in Bat Mot commune, Thanh Hoa province, the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Bat Mot primary and secondary boarding school for ethnic minorities took place. The project has profound humanistic significance, demonstrating the special attention of the Party and State to the cause of education in ethnic minority, mountainous and border areas.

Symbol of faith and aspiration

Located in the western border area of ​​Thanh Hoa , Bat Mot commune is a locality with many difficulties, rugged terrain, and difficult transportation. The whole commune has more than 600 students of all levels, but the current school system is scattered and degraded, and learning and living conditions are still lacking.

Faced with that reality, investing in building a modern, spacious, inter-level boarding school is an urgent requirement, meeting the legitimate aspirations of the people, while contributing to narrowing the educational gap between the mountainous and lowland areas.

The project is deployed on a land area of ​​about 1.5 hectares, investing in new construction and synchronous renovation of items: 22 classrooms, 12 subject rooms, the principal's office, a multi-purpose house, a traditional cultural house, a library, a boarding and semi-boarding area for 260 students, a public house for 25 teachers and many auxiliary items. The total investment is expected to be about 170 billion VND. The investor is the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects in Thuong Xuan district.

This is one of the key projects to welcome the 20th Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030.
