According to the indictment, Tran Dung Ty called Mr. Tran Si T. (born in 1969) and Ms. Truong Thi L. (born in 1971) his uncle and aunt, all three of whom lived on the same plot of land at the address on Le Thanh Ton Street (Thuan Loc Ward, Hue City). During their time living together, the two families often had conflicts over the use of the sidewalk in front of the house as a parking lot.

Early in the afternoon of September 12, 2023, Ty was sitting alone drinking beer on the mezzanine and threw a beer bottle at the wall of Mr. T's house. Mrs. L. came to Ty's door and cursed and challenged him. Angry because he was cursed and had a long-standing conflict with him, Ty took a knife from the house and ran over, using the knife to cut Ms. L.'s neck and back, causing a 17% injury.

Mr. T., the husband, ran over with an iron drumstick and was also slashed in the neck and hand by Ty, causing a 19% injury.

Tran Dung Ty's act of using a knife to cut and slash the neck, a vital area of ​​the human body, could lead to death. The victim did not die unintentionally. That act committed the crime of "Murder" in the case of attempted crime, with the circumstance: "Killing 02 or more people" as stipulated in the Penal Code.

After reviewing the evidence file as well as the defendant's testimony at the trial, the Trial Panel sentenced defendant Tran Dung Ty to 9 years in prison for the crime of "Murder".
