Since early December, people in large Catholic villages in Ho Chi Minh City have begun decorating with sparkling LED lights and large and small nativity scenes to celebrate Christmas.
Children play in a small alley decorated with stars and sparkling lights on Le Van Sy Street, District 3.
“As scheduled, the beginning of the last month of the year is when everyone here joins hands to decorate for Christmas. Every year we try to renew the space, both to make it a place for people to visit and to pray for a peaceful and happy Christmas season,” said Lai Minh (District 3).
Alley 78 Chan Hung (Tan Binh District) is decorated with a giant Santa Claus, making passersby curious and excited. People started decorating in early December and will keep this space until Epiphany (40 days after Christmas).

With many years of experience designing Christmas landscapes, Mr. Tran The Phuc (alley 34, Dat Thanh street) completed the decoration within a week. The entire small alley was decorated with LED lights and beautiful caves.
The Catholic hamlet located on Pham The Hien Street (District 8) consists of 5 parishes: Binh Thai, Binh An Thuong, Binh An Ha, Binh Thuan and Binh Son, filled with colorful star lights on both sides of the street.
The beautifully decorated cave space attracts children and their parents to take photos and check-in for Christmas early.
Anh Thu (5 years old) is delighted by the miniature scene filled with gifts and Christmas trees of a house in alley 561 Pham Van Chieu (Go Vap district). Accordingly, the space was decorated by parishioners around the Rosary parish and opened for free for people to visit.
