On the afternoon of September 22, speaking with Dan Tri reporter, Mr. Tran Ngoc Thu, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tran Yen district ( Yen Bai ) said that on the morning of the same day, the district organized a farewell meeting and gave gifts to thank the military forces participating in supporting the locality to overcome the consequences of floods.

According to Mr. Thu, due to the impact of storm No. 3 ( Yagi ), in recent days, a historic flood occurred in Tran Yen district, causing heavy damage to local people in terms of both human lives and property.
During that difficult time, Tran Yen district received special help from military units such as: Regiment 148, Division 316, Military Region 2; Brigade 543, Military Region 2; Regiment 121, Yen Bai Provincial Military Command , and Tram Tau district militia, with a total of nearly 3,000 workers and machinery for Tran Yen district to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

According to Mr. Thu, after Tran Yen district organized a farewell ceremony for the soldiers returning to their units, people on both sides of the road from the district center to the starting point of Nga Quan commune brought flags and flowers to wave and thank the soldiers for helping people clean up and overcome the consequences of the flood.
In Yen Bai city, along both sides of Tran Hung Dao street (Hong Ha ward), many adults, children, and the elderly stood in neat rows, holding red flags with yellow stars, waving and shouting words of thanks and goodbye to the soldiers as the convoy of vehicles carrying soldiers passed by.
Also this morning, at Regiment 121, Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee held a meeting and presented gifts to military forces participating in helping Yen Bai province overcome the consequences of storm No. 3.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Ngo Hanh Phuc, Vice Chairman of Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee said that in the most difficult time, the people received help from Military Region 2; sharing, support and companionship from other provinces, international friends, individuals and the social community with noble gestures.

In particular, in order to promptly support Yen Bai province, Military Region 2 mobilized maximum human resources with more than 1,000 officers and soldiers from units including: Division 355; Brigade 604; Brigade 168; Brigade 297; Brigade 543; Regiment 174, Regiment 148, along with many vehicles, machinery and equipment, actively supported the people and local authorities to overcome the consequences of floods.
