On April 6, Ben Nghe Ward Police, District 1 (HCMC) said they are still actively assisting Ms. Nguyen Thi Chi (27 years old, from Phu Yen ) in finding her two lost children in the Dong Khoi - Nguyen Hue area.

Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online , Ms. Chi said she has 4 children (the oldest is 10 years old, the youngest is 9 months old). At around 8:00 p.m. on April 3, she and her 4 children went to sell chewing gum together in the Dong Khoi area, near Nguyen Hue walking street, as usual.

At this time, her two children, Nguyen Kieu Thao My (7 years old) and Le Hoang Thuy Linh (3 years old, commonly known as Gao) were selling candy together in front of 161 Dong Khoi Street, while the 10-year-old was taking care of her 9-month-old nephew.

Ms. Chi said that after running to pay the customer about 10 meters away from her children, she turned back and could not find her children. She ran everywhere to look for them, a security guard said he saw the children go to Nguyen Hue walking street but still could not find them.

"When they were lost, My was wearing black clothes and Linh was wearing red polka dot clothes. I searched everywhere but couldn't find her so I reported it to the police," Chi described.

According to Ms. Chi, right after reporting, she received support from Ben Nghe Ward Police to search for her two children, but to this day there is still no trace of them.
