In the key agricultural area of Dong Trieu, it is not difficult to come across high-tech agricultural production models. The milk grape growing model of Mr. Ngo Duc Tri (An Sinh commune) is one of them.

Milk grapes are a cold-resistant variety originating from Korea. Previously, milk grapes were considered imported fruits, but now they are available in Dong Trieu fields. Mr. Ngo Duc Tri is a bold person who grows this variety. Through a friend's introduction, Mr. Tri imported the plant variety and improved the soil according to his own process to grow milk grapes. Using greenhouse technology and mist irrigation, Mr. Tri minimizes the negative impact of the weather on milk grapes. He maintains an organic vineyard care regime, prioritizing the use of biological fertilizers and pesticides, creating crispness and sweetness for the grapes.

Mr. Tri said: People call milk grapes or green grapes because the fruit is sweet, rich in nutrients, and still green when ripe. This variety of plant is difficult to grow because it likes the cold, but if grown in a tent environment, with proactive control over temperature and water supply, it is not difficult to succeed. Once successfully planted, the plant grows and develops well, and can be harvested for up to 20 years before needing to invest again.

With the above modern farming solution, Mr. Tri's 3-acre vineyard not only grows and develops well, but also bears many fruits, large, crispy, sweet, and delicious, no less than imported milk grapes. This season, Mr. Tri harvested nearly 1 ton of grapes, of which 70% are grade 1, with a selling price of 300,000-350,000 VND/kg.

Traders ordered Ngo Duc Tri's standard grape bunches at 300,000 VND/kg.

Mr. Tri intends to expand 1-2 milk grape gardens, combining them with opening services for tourists to experience, visit the vineyard and enjoy milk grapes in the garden.

Mr. Tri analyzed: "Agriculture combined with tourism is currently a feasible development trend in Dong Trieu. As the first New Rural area of the province, Dong Trieu countryside is beautiful with fruit-laden orchards, flower roads, and beautiful, colorful gardens. Dong Trieu's agricultural products are delicious and healthy, so many tourists want to visit these models, watch farmers cultivate, enjoy fruits, take beautiful photos and feel the familiar countryside space. My milk grape garden is suitable for agricultural tourism , because the garden scenery is impressive, the products are delicious and are still rare, so it is even more attractive".
