Implementing the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF), in recent times, the Provincial VFF Committee has done a good job of propagating and disseminating the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws on implementing the Campaign; actively advising the Provincial Campaign Steering Committee to develop and implement plans and programs of activities. Thereby, contributing to raising awareness of the meaning and importance of the Campaign among cadres, party members and people, gradually creating the habit of consuming Vietnamese goods, contributing to promoting socio -economic development in the province.
As the standing agency of the Provincial Movement Steering Committee, the Provincial Fatherland Front has advised the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee to issue a plan to strengthen the Party's leadership over the Movement in the new situation; signed a coordination program with the Department of Industry and Trade to promote the implementation of the Movement in the province. At the same time, it has coordinated well with socio- political organizations, members, and relevant functional agencies to promote propaganda about the purpose and significance of the Movement among cadres, civil servants, public employees, union members, workers and people of all walks of life; developed plans, integrated propaganda content on the implementation of the Movement into conferences and activities of union members and members, associated with the implementation of movements and patriotic emulation movements in the locality and associated with specific actions in studying and following the ideology, morality and lifestyle of Ho Chi Minh. At the same time, include the content of implementing the Campaign into the emulation criteria for evaluating and classifying emulation titles of collectives and individuals of the fronts of communes, wards, mass organizations, agencies and units; promptly discover and propagate typical models, propose rewards for collectives and individuals who have implemented the Campaign well.
According to Mr. Vu Hong Son, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, after nearly 15 years of implementing the campaign, it has created consensus and positive response from the people, contributing to the shift from "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" to "Vietnamese people are proud to use Vietnamese goods", "Vietnamese goods conquer Vietnamese people". This is clearly demonstrated through the fact that the consumption of Vietnamese goods in markets, stores, supermarkets, and shopping centers tends to increase. The psychology of consuming Vietnamese goods has gradually become a habit of every citizen. In many stores and supermarkets, Vietnamese goods account for a large proportion, from 70% to over 90% of the product structure.
It is known that, in order to promote the consumption of Vietnamese goods in the area, in recent times, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has actively coordinated to promote the people, businesses, and administrative agencies to compete in production, practice thrift, and combat waste in consumption; organize communication programs, promote and consume high-quality Vietnamese products; mobilize people of all walks of life to actively participate in detecting and denouncing acts of trading in counterfeit, fake, and poor-quality goods... to protect consumers and the reputation of quality Vietnamese products.
In addition, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee also coordinated with members of the Steering Committee to grasp the situation, promptly detect difficulties and obstacles in implementation, especially in the production, distribution and circulation of goods of enterprises producing and trading Vietnamese goods in the province to make recommendations to State management agencies to create an open and favorable environment for enterprises to operate; encourage enterprises to invest in modern equipment and techniques, produce high-quality products, beautiful designs, diverse, reasonable prices, suitable for consumer tastes, increase competitiveness in the market.
Mr. Do Ngoc Ha, manager of Lan Chi Dong Van supermarket (Duy Tien town) said: In the past time, with the support of the Fatherland Front at all levels, functional agencies and localities to promote and mobilize to participate in the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", Lan Chi supermarket system in general and Lan Chi Dong Van in particular have paid more attention to selecting and distributing quality Vietnamese goods at reasonable prices, especially increasing the introduction and consumption of specialty products, OCOP products of Ha Nam province and other provinces and cities across the country. Thereby, the stalls displaying Vietnamese goods have attracted the attention of many consumers. Up to now, Vietnamese goods have accounted for over 90% of the goods structure of the entire supermarket, meeting the shopping needs of local people.
It can be seen that through the implementation of the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", the Fatherland Front at all levels and its member organizations have actively promoted and raised awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors, agencies, units, businesses and people in the area. Consumers are increasingly aware of their responsibilities and rights towards domestically produced goods and the benefits brought about by implementing the campaign; gradually changing shopping habits, prioritizing the purchase and consumption of Vietnamese branded goods.
Identifying and implementing the Campaign as one of the key and regular tasks of the Front's work, in the coming time, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee will continue to work with socio-political organizations and member units to advise the Provincial Campaign Steering Committee to strengthen propaganda and mobilize cadres, union members, association members and people to prioritize purchasing and using Vietnamese goods; coordinate with member organizations to guide the Fatherland Fronts of communes, wards, and Front Working Committees in residential areas to focus on integrating the Campaign's content into regular activities of the Front, and increase the mobilization of people to purchase domestically produced goods in the province. The Fatherland Front at all levels will also further strengthen coordination in inspection and supervision activities to prevent the production and trading of counterfeit, fake, poor quality and unknown origin goods, contributing to protecting the reputation of legitimate businesses; Organize exhibitions of Vietnamese goods, typical goods of Ha Nam and exhibitions of genuine and fake goods to serve as a basis for consumers to choose. Along with that, there are timely forms of commendation and rewards for typical collectives and individuals in implementing the campaign.
