As planned, the iPhone 17 and iPhone Air product lines will be officially delivered to Vietnamese users from 8am on September 19. This is also the first year the Vietnamese market is included in the key group for new iPhone sales.

Besides Vietnam, on September 19, Apple also opened sales of iPhone 17 in more than 63 countries and regions, including the US, Canada, China, France, Japan, Singapore, Korea, Thailand, UK,...
Delivery will usually be made from 8am (local time). Customers in countries with early time zones such as New Zealand (GMT+12) or Japan (GMT+9) will receive their orders earlier than in the Vietnamese market. Meanwhile, customers in the US and Canada will receive their orders later.
Previously, from the evening of September 12, Apple and its authorized dealers in Vietnam opened the portal to receive orders for the iPhone 17 and iPhone Air product lines. Even at the time of opening the portal, the websites of many retail systems were still unstable and inaccessible.
To date, most versions of the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max have fallen into a state of being out of stock. On Apple's online store, users who order the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max have to wait 3-4 weeks to receive the device.
According to dealers, the iPhone 17 Pro Max continues to be the most popular version in the Vietnamese market. Most customers are interested in the cosmic orange version.
This year, the selling price of iPhone 17 has increased by 3-4 million VND compared to previous generations. This has caused a lot of controversy in the consumer community.

The iPhone 17 starts at VND25 million for the 256GB version, significantly higher than its predecessor. The iPhone Air starts at VND32 million, while the 2TB iPhone 17 Pro Max costs up to VND64 million - a record price for an iPhone.
Many people think that Apple is "testing the market's endurance", because with the same amount of money, users can consider other options from Samsung, Google or even high-end laptops.
The constant price increases over generations may also make a segment of loyal customers think twice before spending their money.
In addition, the design and experience are not much different from the iPhone 16, which is also commented by some technology experts as "not new enough to justify the sky-high price".
