Attending the meeting were former Politburo member, former President - Truong Tan Sang, leaders, former leaders of Long An province, Ho Chi Minh City, Duc Hoa district, District 11 and individuals, businesses of Duc Hoa compatriots in Ho Chi Minh City.
In recent times, Duc Hoa compatriots in Ho Chi Minh City have always accompanied the development process of their hometown, actively contributing to many fields, especially building rural infrastructure in difficult areas, taking care of policy families, poor households and promoting education and talent.
Leaders of Duc Hoa district awarded Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to collectives and individuals with achievements in contributing funds to social work in Duc Hoa district.
In 2024, Duc Hoa district received nearly 175 billion VND from contributions and mobilized contributions from Duc Hoa compatriots in Ho Chi Minh City. During the year, the district inaugurated and put into use Vo Van Tan High School. The project was funded by formerPresident Truong Tan Sang with the amount of 148 billion VND from Vietnam Prosperity Joint Stock Commercial Bank.
Duc Hoa compatriots also mobilized and contributed to the construction of 4 "green - clean - friendly" toilet projects, of which 3 projects have been donated and the remaining project is about to be inaugurated and put into use.
In 2 years (2023-2024), from the direct mobilization of former President - Truong Tan Sang for Vietnam National Petroleum Group - Long An Petroleum Company sponsored 10 billion VND to build 12 rural traffic bridges and culverts.
Speaking at the meeting, former President Truong Tan Sang expressed his hope that Duc Hoa compatriots would continue to promote the spirit of solidarity and actively accompany their homeland Duc Hoa in the upcoming development journey.
Leaders of Duc Hoa district presented flowers of gratitude at the meeting.
On behalf of the district leaders, Chairman of Duc Hoa District People's Committee - Le Thanh Phong acknowledged and expressed gratitude for the contributions of the Liaison Committee of fellow countrymen and Duc Hoa fellow countrymen in the past time. He also called on businesses, entrepreneurs, organizations and individuals inside and outside the district to continue to support and accompany the locality.
On this occasion, collectives and individuals with achievements in contributing and mobilizing funds to carry out social work in Duc Hoa district in 2024 received Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Committee./.
