Regarding Nguyen Thi Le Nam Em's continued violation of providing information causing panic among the people, on the afternoon of April 9, information from the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City said that this agency had imposed an administrative fine of 10 million VND on Nguyen Thi Le Nam Em.

In addition, the Department of Information and Communications will report and recommend the Ministry of Information and Communications to consider and block the two Facebook accounts "Nguyen Le Nam Em" - https://www.facebook.com/missnamem and the Tiktok account "Nguyen Le Nam Em" - https://www.tiktok.com/@namem.official according to the provisions of Article 5 of Circular No. 38/2016/TT-BTTTT dated December 26, 2016 of the Ministry of Information and Communications detailing the provision of public information across borders.

According to the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City, the department invited Nguyen Thi Le Nam Em to work on information provision activities on social network accounts on March 26 and April 2, however, Nam Em did not come to work according to the invitation because she was busy with work in Da Lat.

After that, the Department of Information and Communications continued to invite Nguyen Thi Le Nam Em to work at 9:00 a.m. on April 9.

Previously, on March 1, 2024, the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City imposed administrative sanctions on Nguyen Thi Le Nam Em for two acts of providing information causing panic among the people and providing information insulting famous people and national heroes, but not to the extent of criminal prosecution according to the provisions of Decree No. 15/2020/ND-CP dated February 3, 2020 of the Government stipulating administrative sanctions in the fields of post, telecommunications, radio frequencies, information technology and electronic transactions. The total amount of administrative sanctions is 37.5 million VND.

In this violation, the Department of Information and Communications has advised Nguyen Thi Le Nam Em that if she re-offends and continues to commit administrative violations despite requests to stop that behavior, aggravating circumstances will be considered according to regulations.

At the same time, the Department of Information and Communications will coordinate with relevant agencies to apply preventive measures in accordance with the law.

However, Nguyen Thi Le Nam Em continued to violate the above-mentioned act of providing information causing panic among the people. Therefore, the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City invited Nam Em to work and imposed a more serious penalty.
