Located in the heart of District 1 (HCMC), a crowded area of one of the busiest cities in Vietnam, Rice Field restaurant is full of peaceful countryside atmosphere as its name suggests. The scenery and traditional dishes here remind of rice fields, pure Vietnamese meals with full dishes of "Salty - Light - Soup - Rice".
Cozy space, filled with rustic and rustic colors
Rice Field has a unique architecture, built from bricks and raw cement in the style of a country house with a tiled roof, a large yard planted with rice plants, banana trees and bamboo cleverly integrated into the urban landscape.
It is known that Rice Field is the idea and the whole heart of Mr. Lucas Huynh with the desire to bring the taste of home, a place with the taste of warmth, laughter and sometimes awkwardness. “Rice Field is very happy and honored to be one of the pure Vietnamese restaurants contributing to conveying traditional Vietnamese cuisine to the world . Along with the joy and surprise of being visited by Michelin Guide culinary experts and being honored in the list is an honor for every member of the Rice Field family” – Mr. Lucas Huynh shared.
Rich menu with typical "Salty - Light - Soup - Rice" dishes from 3 regions
From quality and typical food ingredients of all three regions of the country, combined with processing procedures according to food hygiene and safety standards, Rice Field offers diners a huge menu with many attractive dishes.
Through the talented hands of the chefs, combined with the impressive and intimate space, the dishes with the bold flavors of the North - Central - South homeland are dressed in a new coat, both familiar and strange, easily "knocking out" any picky diner. It is this gentle, delicate and simple harmony that brings diners a feeling of intimacy and comfort every time they come here, like returning to their cozy home.
Talking about the upcoming plans when Rice Field unexpectedly appeared on the Michelin nomination list, Mr. Lucas Huynh said: “Rice Field will always be a house full of laughter. Rice Field sincerely thanks and is happy to welcome you to the restaurant”.
“I feel like I am returning home, returning to my childhood with the dishes of my childhood recreated by the chefs here in the most authentic and meticulous way,” said Anna, who lives in Finland and has just returned to Vietnam after 2 years of social distancing due to the Covid-19 pandemic. She was surprised that right on the bustling Ho Tung Mau street of Saigon, there is a stopover nestled in the nostalgia of a rice-growing village, so traditional.
Rice Field is also the weekend destination that Phung Linh chooses to meet friends and enjoy delicious dishes. Besides the cozy and "super chill" space and the specialties of 3 regions with pure Vietnamese flavors, the convenient location and the view straight to Bitexco tower with impressive "virtual life" frames are the reasons why Phung Linh and her group of friends often stop here.
“Not only is the food delicious, the staff here are also very friendly, approachable and professional. We are very happy to hear that Rice Field has just appeared on the Michelin nomination list” - Phung Linh excitedly shared. She said she will bring her whole family here to experience and enjoy the most original flavors of Vietnamese rustic cuisine .
