According to TechRadar , Private Division recently announced a new project they are working on in partnership with Game Freak, the developer behind the Pokémon titles.
The new IP is set to be an action-adventure game described as “bold and radically different” that will run on next-generation consoles like the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. While Private Division has not announced a release date, the new game is likely to arrive sometime in 2026.
Private Division and Game Freak are creating a new action-adventure game
Codenamed Project Bloom, the new IP marks an exciting and unique collaboration between the two developers. “We’re excited to help Game Freak unleash their potential and are honored to be the first Western publisher to partner with this incredibly talented team to deliver a bold new IP,” said Michael Worosz, head of Private Division, in a blog post.
Private Division and Game Freak have also released a first look at Project Bloom, with the new artwork showing a small figure standing in the middle of a muddy forest surrounded by hanging vines, massive tree trunks, and glowing bushes.
Project Bloom looks far removed from the usual visuals Game Freak is known for, such as the colorful and cartoony worlds of Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. This should have fans excited for a game with a fresh new look.
