Designer Viet Hung creates with Hue five-panel dress

VHO - Within the framework of the Community Ao Dai Week - Summer Festival 2025, organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hue City from June 6-15 in Hue, designer Viet Hung brought two new collections "Thuong nho ngu than" and "Dem lang sen", expressing the special feelings he sent to the ancient capital.

Designer Viet Hung presents collections within the framework of Community Ao Dai Week - Summer Festival 2025

The collection “Thuong nho ngu than” has nearly 40 designs, inspired by Hue’s five-panel ao dai. Designer Viet Hung creates creative designs by incorporating fashion elements and modern tailoring techniques to help the ao dai hug and accentuate the curves of women.

Lotus is also a typical flower of Hue , mentioned by many people when talking about the ancient capital. From this inspiration, designer Viet Hung created the collection Sen Village Night.

On velvet material, Viet Hung recreated a sparkling starry moonlit night conveyed through 21 designs.

This is the first time Viet Hung has painted lotus on glitter velvet after making tens of thousands of lotus ao dai.

Designer Viet Hung and his team used realistic lotus painting techniques. He confided that painting on velvet is much more difficult than on other materials. Meanwhile, painting lotus requires softness, so it is even more difficult.

Thanks to the team of skilled artisans, each design is like a work of art that conveys the image of a lotus spreading its fragrance in the starry night, with immense depth.

Participating in the performance of two collections are runner-up Hong Hanh, Ngoc Trang, 2nd runner-up of the Mister International Friendship contest Nguyen Hong Ha, Miss Charm Thailand 2024 Pornsirikul Puatha, Mister Supranational Thailand Topz Nathanon, 1st runner-up of Miss Supranational Thailand Muller Carina... and MC Quynh Hoa.

Contributing to the success of the fashion show were director Phan Quy and general director Lan Vy.

Community Ao Dai Week is one of the activities to honor traditional Ao Dai, and spread Vietnamese cultural values to domestic and foreign tourists.
