100% of students have books before the first day of school
According to information from the Vietnam Education Publishing House (NXBGDVN), this school year, the unit has organized the printing of 160.8 million textbooks, of which about 2-3% is reserved to supplement localities facing difficulties such as natural disasters, floods, epidemics...
By early August 2025, the Vietnam Education Publishing House had supplied 158.4 million copies, reaching 98.5% of the plan, ensuring that students nationwide had enough books before the opening day.
NXBGDVN is a 100% state-owned enterprise, so the organization of bidding for printing textbooks is carried out in accordance with the Bidding Law. NXBGDVN has developed a plan for printing textbooks very early to organize printing and warehousing work in a timely manner to serve the distribution needs. NXBGDVN has been actively and urgently organizing printing and warehousing work and supplying textbooks to localities.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Tung, Member of the Board of Members, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Vietnam Education Publishing House, said: "We proactively built a plan early, organized printing according to the public and transparent bidding process and completed the warehousing stage on schedule, fully meeting market demand."
NXBGDVN continues to maintain a public policy, posting full price lists at retail points, on the official website (www.nxbgd.vn) and on mass media according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Notably, from July 28 to September 30, Hanoi Education Investment and Development Joint Stock Company (a member of NXBGDVN) launched a 10% discount program on all textbooks and exercise books (applicable to the Connecting Knowledge with Life series) at Edubook stores nationwide. This policy aims to share the financial burden with parents in the early stages of the school year and contribute to ensuring social security.
100% of textbooks from NXBGDVN are guaranteed to be provided to students before the new school year begins.

Major bookstores have fully displayed books from grades 1 to 12, belonging to different book series, making it easy for parents to choose and shop according to the school's catalog.
In 2024, authorities discovered many cases related to fake textbooks in a number of provinces and cities. NXBGDVN recommends that parents and students should only buy books at official bookstores, which are part of the NXBGDVN distribution system. The list of stores has been publicly announced on the publisher's website.
We invite teachers, parents and students to come to the stores in the list below to buy textbooks for all classes: List of stores.
Buying pirated or low-quality books not only affects students' learning but also violates the law. Parents should choose to buy books directly at bookstores in the official distribution system of NXBGDVN as announced on the publisher's website.
The 2025-2026 school year will continue to use the current set of textbooks.
Recently, the Ministry of Education and Training has sent to the Departments of Education and Training comments on the revision of the curriculum of a number of subjects. This revision is to meet the requirements of rearranging provincial administrative units and implementing a two-level local government.
Some of the expected revised contents in the subjects are as follows: For the subject of civic education, amend and supplement the 10th grade program in the topics of the political system of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The Editorial Board of NXBGDVN reviews and compiles content related to changes in administrative boundaries and two-level government to report to the Ministry of Education and Training.

For history subject: revise and supplement the optional study topic in grade 10: "Vietnamese State and law in history".
For the geography subject in history and geography: revise and supplement the curriculum in grades 4, 5, 8, 9 and geography in grade 12. The revisions are mainly about socio-economic regions, such as regional boundaries; names and number of provinces and cities, area size, population of the region; economic development resources and the development and distribution of economic sectors in socio-economic regions; administrative maps; population maps, maps of sectors and economic regions in Vietnam.
For the history sub-subject in history and geography, revise and supplement the program in grade 7: periodization according to European history; in grade 9: periodization of the renovation process in Vietnam from 1986 to present.
The issuance of the circular amending and supplementing the 2018 General Education Program by the Minister of Education and Training ensures that the general education program is updated with appropriate content in line with changes, ensuring the scientific and practical nature of social science subjects in the general education program. The issuance of the circular amending and supplementing the general education program is the legal basis for considering and revising textbooks to suit reality.
In accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Training, textbooks for the 2025-2026 school year will not change and teaching will still follow the textbooks previously selected by localities. The Ministry of Education and Training also requires localities to continue to stably use the current textbooks in the 2025-2026 school year, while guiding teachers to flexibly adjust lesson content to suit the new administrative boundaries.
NXBGDVN will actively support schools and teachers in using current textbooks in accordance with the direction of the Ministry of Education and Training.
